Isn't there an age limit on kiltwearing?

If there isn't,,,, the should be.

And that looks like Stewart Plaid,,, so it isn't family loyalty that cause him the lapse of common sense.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton accused the Bush administration Tuesday of nullifying the success of her husband's administration...

She also said "they" (co-presidents) didn't have the public backing and international to attack terrorism...that 9/11 presented Dubya with that "opportunity and obligation". That's how the Dems saw 9/11--as an unfortunate "opportunity" for GWB.

Earth to Hillary: It's called "leadership"...if you want public backing, you have to lead.

Legacy Schmegacy.

I know we have a lot of people to pray for lately, but could you all please add my mother to the list? She's awaiting results of a biopsy on her tongue. The biopsy yesterday caused extensive bleeding, so she's feeling pretty bad, not to mention her apprehension over the results. (She's always been a nonsmoker and nondrinker, so this is rather a surprising development).

Like you, I've been hesitant to request prayers. Hubby's niece was diagnosed with lukemia last week.

She's 33, a top flight CPA with Cargil in Minneapolis. Has 2 kids: Boy 7 & Girl 5. Her husband is overwhelmed with fear, work obligations and home obligations.

Please say a prayer for Shelly and her husband Pat.

Shelly will be hospitalized for a month of treatment and then will be treated on an out patient basis.

I'm about 45 miles away; my sister and brother are closer. She's also dealing with chronic lymphoma, which saps her strength.

Hillary! speaks:

"From my perspective, especially as someone who cares about health care for all Americans, [constantly reinventing herself] it's frustrating to have this disconnect — all these breakthroughs and medical research. But if we can't deliver the resulting services to people who need them, then we're not improving health care," she said.

The health insurance system, too, came under fire from Clinton, who said that it is "cutting even care that has been proven effective because of cost concerns. We have to take a close look at our health-care insurance system." Clinton predicted that "in 10 years we'll all have a chip that will hold our genetic information, and we can hand them to our doctors and they can tell which disease we have a genetic marker for. The problem is, that chip will make us all uninsurable. [And your evidence for this is ...?] If you have the gene for a predisposition to breast cancer, insurance companies will say, ‘We'll insure you for everything except breast cancer.’

''A recent study showed that 57 percent of women who might be carrying this gene refused to have the genetic test because they were afraid if they did they would lose their insurance.''

Clinton also said she was less than thrilled with the recent prescription drug benefit legislation. ''Medicare is at risk because of the recent legislation, which I believe will undermine health care for older Americans over the next 10 years,'' she said. ''Instead of providing a prescription drug benefit, we have a convoluted insurance plan that is understood only by its architects.'' full story

What a joke for Hillary Clinton - nothing more than the spouse of a lifelong government leach - to presume she knows anything about the needs of the typical American woman.

It's not often I agree with Hitlery, but her 'take' on insurance is very close to being right on.

Our youngest son applied for his own BC/BS policy this fall, as he's finally graduated from college and can no longer be covered under our policy.

After submitting the results of the required physical examination, he received a letter with a waiver for him to sign. The letter said he could be approved for insurance coverage IF he would sign,,, the waiver said he would not receive reimbursement for any type of weight reduction treatments. He's 6'4" and weighs 250,, most of which is muscle. I've been full of muscle before and I can assure you, muscle weights more than fat.

I honestly believe health insurance is totally out of control and we should 'do something' about it. What is driving the high cost of health care insurance? High Drs fees and hospital fees. What is driving these high fees? The high cost of malpractice insurance. What is driving the high cost of malpractice insurance? The incredibly high settlements awarded by juries.

So Tort Reform is apparently the way to begin getting our arms around the high cost of health care insurance. I somehow doubt Frau Klinton, a friend of the Trial Lawyers Society, has any interest in limiting the amount people can sue for. So, in the end, she will probably vote against any measure which would limit settlements awarded by juries and prevent the dominos from beginning to fall.

sorry this is long. I just get really worked up about it.

MORE evidence of the Dems' unwinding:

I noticed this paragraph in a front page Washington Post article about Dean's frequent "mis-statements". They're pretty thorough in documenting his mendacity, and then comes this observation:

"To a great extent, the public does not give a damn" about the claims against Dean, said former representative Tony Coelho,...chairman of Al Gore's 2000 campaign. Voters want straight-talking leaders, he said, and former governors such as Dean have "a tendency to say what they think without having everything checked out before they do things."
LOL! Dems want a straight-talker, dammit!, whether he's telling the truth or not.

Holy Moly!

I posted the above before I'd read the Post's blistering editorial on the un-serious Dr.Dean. The establishment is getting rattled...tee hee.

"They say Saddam is acting delusional, thinks he's still president.
Er, just like...ya know, AL GORE!"

LOL!
