Heh...I'm pretty much in agreement with you there.
Who was it we used to annoy with Boromir bashing? Can't recall.
I prolly shoulda worked to add to my margin, but I was finding that story too boring.
So I went back and added a coupla hundred words to the other story. Dragons are more entertaining than furniture shopping.
Wahoo!! and we get to open a new home on a grand and glorious day no less!! Someone hang a picture of the 2nd term President Bush! FOUR MORE YEARS!!!!
The day after the election is a good day to start a new thread!
Nice new hole...
Probably me. Poor, misunderstood Boromir and everybody's out to make him the bad guy.
Thanks for the ping - excellent timing if I may add. The late night partying left the other hole with broken crockery and chipped plates. btw where are g'nad and corin anyway?
Oh goody...
Real Men Love Bush.
I don't think he's intentionally evil.
Just dense.
And arrogant, too. He doesn't get it that just MAYBE, other people know more about the Ring and the Dark Lord than he does. Duh.
I would hope Corin and g'nad will be along soon enough...
Somebody will say something a dwarf could get in trouble with... ;~D
*Sigh* A jock caught in a world of geeks. :)
OT: Heat requires coal, which is expensive and momentary whereas a coat and vest, once purchased and kept in reasonable repair, will last for years. :-)
What the ??????
But our fingers, toses, and noses are cold!
Was that Carton? No, she was the Smeagol fan. Hmmm. SuziQ didn't like it when we talked about how much better Faramir is...
Mmm, Faramir.
Um..."toeses" Hobbitses can't type tonight.
War doen't have to be all blood, toil tears and sweat :)
I thought Sean Bean did an EXCELLENT portrayal of Boromir...fleshed him out far better than in the book...in the book he struck me as just a plain old creep, but Bean brought forward some very plausible motivations for why Boromir acted the way he did. When you have grown up as the Golden Son of the highest leader in the land, and theres a good chance that you could save the day by advancing your position, things like an all powerful Ring start to look pretty good...only hubris prevents him from understanding the cost.
I think it was you who was upset with Boromir bashing.
I really did like Boromir better in the movie than in the books...which I almost feel is heresy, but there it is!
He still looks at things only from a military standpoint, which considering his background is understandable...but yeesh, the guy didn't listen to ANYTHING anyone else said!
