George, go and read the case. Michael Schiavo HAS ORDERED - NO Autopsy and IMMEDIATE CREMATION. The reason is clear, she has no Will, Schiavo himself gets to make all the decisions, Terri's body IS the evidence. He will make darn sure that is done away with pronto.

I think you are trying to mix up ALL end of life cases with this one George and I don't know why. I'm sorry about your father's case. However, THIS case is COMPLETELY different. COMPLETELY. That's all I'll say about it as I don't want to argue over it. All I can say is that this is a Travesty, A real travesty.

Michael Schiavo can order himself appointed Pope, but it doesn't mean anything because it is not in his legal power to do so.

Only the Medical Examiner can make that decision, and if her proponents have done a proper job of marshalling the facts in petitioning for an autopsy and a coroner's inquest, they will get one.

Of course they may screw up that legal move just like they have all the rest of them..

I'm sure the ME is eager to piss off the judge and sheriff he has to work with every day.

I'm also sure that the ME hasn't been suborned, either...

Not sure if the same is true in Florida but here the appraised value (268K) would be a low ball price. It's also based on similar houses sold 2-3 years ago. It's probably worth closer to 300-325K.

IMO, not worth the price he paid for it. What is the going rate on souls these days??

I'm moving to Arkansas

A $389,000 home up here would get you a 40 year old home on a 1/2 acre lot that needs LOADS of upgrades

There's a lot of nice places here. Some are much cheaper. Acreage isn't bad either, even on the lake or river, although as this area is becoming more attractive to retirees, the prices are rising. Still, nothing like those places y'all live...and MUCH less traffic to deal with.

Here's another....with a view:

.

.

Gaze across the river valley from most every room in the house. Entertain guests in the spacious living area, or the family room. Energy efficient. This quality 5 bedroom, 3 bath home was built with extra care.

Small lot though (100 X 400), and too close to the neighbors.

Yes, yes, everyone is in the conspiracy against poor Terri.
If there were that many people conspiring against her they could have just dropped her in the Bermuda Triagle and changed all the records to deny she ever existed.

Got this in my email:

Bottle Of Wine

For all of you who are married, were married, wish you were married, or wish you weren't married, this is something to smile about the next time you open a bottle of wine:

Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road. As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped the car and asked the Navajo woman if she would like a ride.

With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into the car.

Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make a bit of small talk with the Navajo woman. The old woman just sat silently, looking intently at everything she saw, studying every little detail, until she noticed a brown bag on the seat next to Sally.

"What's in the bag?" asked the old woman.

Sally looked down at the brown bag and said, "It's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband."

The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or two. Then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder, she said, "Good trade."

Yeah, and $349,000 is pretty upscale, although I'm sure there are places you can buy that are more, although much over $500,000 would qualify as a resort. There are some beautiful pieces of land around here as well, most priced very reasonably.

Here's a few just from our local paper today:

130 ft. White River frontage with 3 bedroom, 2 bath home on .70 acres more/ less. Gentle sloping lot, walk-out basement, 13 ft. 2 in. x 24 boat garage, 12x38 covered deck, cathedral ceiling, oak cabinets, and trim throughout. Most furnishings and custom fully rigged 1994 Shawnee river boat negotiable. Just $164,900.

2 bedroom home with 2 bedroom guest home on 5.62 acres in Oakland, 23x40 pole building. Beautiful view of Bull Mountain, 4 miles to marina. $128,000.

37 ACRES more/ less, 6 ponds, fenced and cross fenced pasture, large barn, RV carport, big 4 bedroom, 3 bath farm home, family room, hot tub room, fireplace in the living room, basement and more, $249,000.

4 bedroom brick home on 6.5 acres more/ less. Close to town and new Wal-Mart Supercenter. Barn and pond in fenced pasture. Laminate floor in living room. $104,900

Desired location. 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with an east side of Mountain Home subdivision. Great floor plan with large eat-in kitchen, spacious living room with stone fireplace, formal dining. Big covered rear deck, newer windows, appliances and shingles. Heat and air. 2 car garage with shop area and much more.

How often do you find a spring fed pond full of trout, bass, sunfish and more right in your backyard? This 3 level, 4 bedroom home with 2 story garage and 2 level boat/ RV barn, garden shed, flower beds and big veggie garden is a flyfisher's paradise. 10 minutes from Mountain Home. $399,000.

Lakeview. 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2.36 fenced acres, 3 barns, park-like setting. Must see! $129,900.

RIVER FRONT, 200 ft., with boat dock. Approximately 3,000 sq. ft. includes 10x24 all glass sunroom, 20x24 great room, and 30x24 family room overlooking river. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with full kitchen on each level, 3 car detached garage. Could be fishing lodge. $280,000.

atop a bluff overlooking the White River. Lovely log home with detached garage, heated and cooled with 3/4 bath. Monstrous deck with Hot Springs spa. Stainless steel appliances, hardwood flooring, 8x16 out building located on 10.42 acres more/ less with additional acres for another home. Only $147,000.

beautiful all brick 3 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home. Located in a lovely area of very nice homes, fireplace, open living and dining rooms. Basement area for recreation room or extra bedroom. Countryside view, could have a lake view with tree trimming.

country livin' is what this 3 bedroom home offers, located on 5.30 acres more/ less. Lots of fruit bushes and trees. Hwy. frontage, all level land. Close to lake and river in the small community of Tecumseh. $49,900
