This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

He does... He loves to ride trail, and I love to follow his ears. I am really looking forward to getting to ride a lot this summer!

Well, Markie's on her way.
We didn't have to fill out any forms for her being a minor. We couldn't go past the first security guard for the line.
It took all I had to walk back to the car without cryin'. sniff, sniff
We had to ride a glass elevator and hubby was ASKING to die!!!! Kept telling me look out there mommadoo. (he knows I'm scared of heights. grrrr) I just hugged the wall and closed my eyes. LOL.

She'll get to Hair's about 9:30. THEIR time I think.
No changes on the way there...but coming home, she'll have @1 1/2 hr. delay in Tenn.
I will be on ABSOLUTE pins and needles till they call. BELIEVE ME....that plane is HEAVILY loaded with lotsa Jesus Angels. (sigh)
She has a stop, but no plane change on this flight.
She is on the ground right now at Chicago midway.

I asked my questions as a mom, to know where what level to set the worry meter on:)
I'll be glad when she is there too, and then when she is back home, and in between I want to know that she is in the house by dark with the doors locked:)
My daughter is 25, and when her husband works nights I still talk to her everynight to know that her doors are locked.

This flight tracker is a LOT better. Gives a little map of where she is and lots of other information, and it updates every minute by itself. You can just leave it open.

We've got beautiful clear skies here today. She should get a ~great~ view of the mountains as comes in to Seattle. Do you know if she got a window seat?

What's wrong with Rusty?
He just stopped eating. He has done this 2 other times this past year. Will go 3-4 days and not eat, then suddenly start again. No other symtoms other then being a little quieter then he usually is.

LOL - well figure 10-15mins at least to get to the gate, get unloaded and walk down to where Hair can meet her.
