Wow, that's an interesting tidbit.
I guess it shouldn't surprise me, but I can't believe how many American Idol and America's Top Model contestants are single parents.
And don't get me started on the tattoos.
Reynolds will be the one wearing the furry handcuffs and getting whipped but Star will be the consumer of the vodka.
Eek, after that image I won't sleep for a week.
Berger seen here leaving the courthouse with the judgment tucked away in his cheeks.
Peter Jennings' report on this HUGE story was all of about 10 seconds worth of explanation on what happened at the hearing. We learned that Berger contradicted what he first said about the missing docs, that he did admit to taking the docs. That he was required to pay 10,000 and would lose his security clearance. Peter also left out that Berger only lost his clearance for a measly three years. (hmmm, clearance reinstated just in time to help the next dem nominee, aka Hillary!)
What we didn't learn from Peter was, ...missing are drafts of a sensitive after-action report on the Clinton administration's response to a failed terror plot to blow up the Los Angeles International Airport during December 1999, otherwise known as "the Millennium plot."
One source told FOX News that the report was critical of how the Clinton administration handled Al Qaeda threats to the U.S. homeland and that the missing report made security recommendations that were never implemented. FNC
Peter's report did not disclose that Berger had stuffed the docs into his shirt and pants and that he had cut them up with scissors. Also that although the stolen docs were drafts, those drafts contained different assessments of clinton's failures.
I think this is a huge story because over and over we hear how the Bush Administration is/was covering up evidence of their failures. Here we have a high level person (who also would have tapped as Secretary of State in a Kerry admin.) in the clinton admin. actually destroying evidence of failures to implement safe guards against terrorism and ABC yawns at it all.
Welcome Back, I am still in paradise.
I have to say, those Vonage commercials crack me up. They have some new ones out now and they are hysterical.
Aren't intermittent, kooky weather patterns grand?
We didn't get any snow here, but saw several cars with about 2" of snow on them when I drove the 7 miles into town for church this a.m. It was darn blustery today, but will be 70 degrees by Tuesday, woo hoo!
LONDON (Reuters) - The wedding of Britain's Prince Charles to Camilla Parker Bowles will go ahead Friday even if it clashes with the funeral of Pope John Paul, a spokeswoman for Clarence House said Sunday. "If the funeral falls Friday, the wedding will still go ahead," a spokeswoman said. The Pope's funeral was expected to be held between Wednesday and Friday.
We're glad you're back. I'm wondering if maybe the corner isn't a better place to be given the tone on the rest of the forum. Thank goodness for The Guild.
I'll return to my inoffensive posting of pithy items from the gossip columns:
We hear ... THAT when asked if he would run for president in 2008 at a lunch at the Princeton Club, Newt Gingrich answered coyly: "You never know.". . . (Page Six)
John Travolta and Tom Cruise have forcefully denied allegations that they turned to Scientology to "cure" them of their supposedly gay urges. But critics continue to claim the religion is rife with homophobia. Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard wrote in his 1950 best seller, "Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health," that gays were "sexual perverts" and "very ill physically." ... rest of story
(CBS/AP) Prince Charles' office announced Monday that his wedding to Camilla Parker Bowles will be rescheduled to Saturday so that it would not conflict with Friday's funeral for Pope John Paul II.
In addition, Charles will attend Friday's funeral in Rome, the prince's Clarence House office said.
Lol, #70....Wonder if the Queen will be too tired to attend the rescheduled wedding on April 8 (she is going to the funeral, too
Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, speaks to reporters after leaving the Polish Mass at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in honor of Pope John Paul II, in New York, April 3, 2005. Chelsea Clinton stands behind Sen. Clinton.
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) rides in the U.S. Army's first hydrogen fuel cell-powered pickup at the General Motors research facility outside of Rochester, NY, Friday, April 1, 2005. Clinton was instrumental in securing funds in the 2005 Department of Defense appropriations on behalf of GM's experimental truck whose fuel cell modules are produced at the facility. The U.S. Army will evaluate the experimental Chevrolet Silverado pickup, performing rigorous testing in different climates and locations around the U.S. to assess performance and give the military first-hand experience with hydrogen and fuel cells.
Chelsea's looking as lovely as ever. I wonder if that tabloid report about her drinking is true.
Chuck and Cam act about 150 years older than they are, which I suppose is an indication they were meant for one another! But really, how many other men in their 50s go out and about in a kilt these days?
I suspect they took that one episode that was reported a week or so ago (she did over do one night while partying with her girlfriends and had to be escorted out) and blew it a bit out of proportion. I hope so...it would be really sad if a young lady of 25 had a real alcohol problem.
What is this about Sandy Berger getting his security clearance back in just 3 years? Just in time for when Hillary is president...grrrr....
