Right now on MSNBC they have an anti war activist and liberal prof claiming that no vets were spat on. In addition vets don't hate Fonda, they all love ler. Welcome to biased coverage.

Yeah, not many of us stayed on campus long enough to become faculty. BTW, that was where I was called a baby killer, in one of our fine, liberal, tolerant academic institutions.
The "anti war activists" probably weren't even a gleam in their parents eyes during the Vietnam era. The "liberal prof" was probably one of the hippies back then who spat on us.
MSNBC, kiss my ass! In August, 1971, on my way home (in uniform) on leave after my first tour in Vietnam, a tie-dyed hippie couple in the next seats on the plane loudly reamed me out for being a Vietnam vet. They knew there was nowhere for me to go to get away from them, the lousy cowards.
Seems to me the nation has already spoken on the issue of how Vietnam vets were treated when the Dims were dumb enough to nominate John Effing Kerry, who accused them of war crimes.
They made no big deal about the taunts, chants, throwing trash and spitting when it was happening. But, Lo and Behold, put out testimony from an anti war activist and a professor that it didn't happen, 35 years later.
Too bad MSM. The witnesses ain't dead yet!
Wrong on two counts. I was spit on in 1971 in Grand Central Station by a short blond wearing a t-shirt and no scandals.
If I had a chance to spit on Hanoi Janie I could probably resist the impulse but it would be hard.
I wonder if this clown also one of those that argues that there was no Holocaust.
This is just liberal MSNBC's way of having their shot at spitting on the vets and sticking up for hanoi jane fonda at the same time.

I went to a private military college and all my Civil Engineering profs were Vietnam vets, and very conservative.
Some stinking hippie made the mistake of spitting at my old man in LAX the same year when he returned from his 2nd tour. He (airborne Ranger) 'mopped the floor' with the piece of dirt while security guards counted ceiling tiles.
Now here is my way of 'fair and balanced':
Although I was subjected to a number of insults in the early 70's, I also received some quiet kindnesses too. The family that picked me up while I was hitching a ride along the PA turnpike and shared their homefried chicken with me. The airline counter girl who insisted I pay military standby and gave me a first class seat assignment. My family and friends who gave me a welcome home party (I was really out of it, excited to be back in the world, but I had been awake for about 2 days at that point).
I like to remember those.
The rest of the bastards who went out of their way to disrepect me, can rot in their own little self-created hell.
Was he challenged? Did MSNBC present someone from the other side? Did anyone ask the guy making the claim how he definitively knew what actions 250 million people made 30 years ago?
Biased news rarely is clean cut as the lying that CBS and the NY Times have recently engaged in. But it also is not necessary when you present someone with credentials (whether relevant or not) and provide them with an uncritical platform. Thats biased reporting and the MSM regularly and skillfully engages in it.
I don't understand the angst towards MSNBC. They have the best daytime programming, starting with Imus. They have great sources and on-air interviews. I'm even starting to like these segments with Ron Reagan and Monica Crowley. Don't watch any night time programming.
Quite frankly, for my tastes, CNN is obviously loaded up with Bush haters and FOX is to Ra! Ra! for the good guys. I want to be provoked and not just listen to someone who is trying to make me feel good.
I wasn't on FR two years ago, but I have several sad stories from my time as a Vietnam Marine.
