In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. I’m just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words “as if” can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.

Pronunciation: Zoic
Etymology: [Greek] (zoicos) Of or pertaining to animals
1) Animal: having an animal mode of existence: animal life and action.

I guess we could say Hobbes1 is a tigerzoic humanoid. So sorry, Tiger. It was a low fast ball.
You can use any root word for the “zoic.” Just make it sound like we know what we’re writing.
Place 8-10 strips of bacon on a rack over a half-sheet pan and place into a COLD oven. Turn the oven on to 400. When the oven reaches temperature set the timer for 15 minutes.
When done, remove the pan and allow to cool. You will have perfectly flat bacon strips that are prefect for BLT sandwiches and beautifully clear bacon grease that you can pour off. If you want more flavor, a light scrape of the pan will remove the fond.

I forget the filing time (DTG's show the message precedence, date,, the Zulu Time [UTC/GMY] and the month/ year, thusly, and I will use the time right now, on this post, and make it "Priority" precidence (there are Routine(R), Priority(P), Operational Immediate(O), and Flash (Z) which, of course, causes all sorts of frantic activity.) Sot if this post were a msg, the header would look something like:

Now, of course, this would have included some esoteric call signs, routing indicators, etc, etc, and is in the style when mechanical teletypes were in use, where one always put 2 Ok that's the skinny on the date of the proposal, and a leasing in communications 101, Teletype Procedure:Message Format :-)
