Word For The Day, Friday, May 13, 2005
05/13/05 | xsmommy

Posted on 05/13/2005 5:31:52 AM PDT by Slip18

Friday, May 13, 2005

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

Dodgeball Day!

Subbie Slip has given her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs to xs today.

The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. I’m just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words “as if” can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.

Good morning, all, I will try to give my best lame attempt to adequately use the WTFD in a useful manner, even considering that it is Friday ;-)

Even though, ostensibly, the Republican Party holds a clear majority in both the House and Senate of the United States, they seem to lack the spine and intestinal fortitude to stand up to, and fight the contumacious Dumoflops, use the Nuke option, and end the Filibuster once and for all. Too much compromise and RINO-ism for my taste. If we are ever going to totally defeat the likes of Schumer, Kennedy, Boxer, Feinstein, and the rest of that putrid bunch, the Pubbies had better grow some spines pretty darn quick, because, up to this point, they haven't shown gwmoore a darn thing. The more contumacious the Dims become, the more flaccid and docile the Pub's become. Methinks they are more scared of what their "Permanent Record" might be massaged and "outed" by the aforementioned Dims would show, than of what their principles truly are.

Keep the Faith For Freedom

She is female. Except for 5 some-odd days a month.

(Then? We really don't know. See, we have a don't ask, don't kill policy in the classroom.)

"I went back and checked my roll (ping list) for WFTD, and found that both of the truant students who appear to have slept through the opening bell on the last two Wednesdays are in fact on the roll and were pinged on post #2 or #3 of the thread."

Yikies, VRWC. I am sorry and hope that I don't get held back...again...and have to repeat this year. ;-)

And I have to beg off today as well, as I have to be wheels up out-o-country to a big puddle of oui oui. I'll be back next week after I oui oui all over the place, and I *promise* to then not be so contumacious in class...or towards Bobby.

I hate that it's Friday the thirteenth...travelwise. :-O Have a GREAT weekend, all of youz. And I'm really sad that I'm missing Dodgeball Day. I wanted to nail Dupa in the butt.

And until this week you would never have contemplated cooking fried corn and the xshouse would have eschewed it as well. Given the opportunity, you would find that southern cuisine has a great deal of appeal and damn good flavor.

24 years ago today...

13 May 1981

While riding through St. Peter's Square, Pope John Paul II was shot/wounded by a Turkish nutjob.

Thanks, xs. Bobby will just have to deal. He'll probably say he's sick and that he has to go to the nurse. He'll take his little mirror that he attaches to the top of his shoe using ABC gum--the wad that he stores behind his ear. I hope that the nurse is in pants today.

Hmmmmmmmn.

Most doctors note that, most of the time, when dealing with males, one finds twice as much nuttiness as when dealing with females.
