As the jewish sailor said when he spotted a heavy sperm whale, "Oil weigh!"

(I was joshing you about streetwalking the neighborhood picking up all the loose trash and stray cash you found.)

No, wait. That doesn't sound right....

Good luck, Miss Slip! I'm off this afternoon to see the doc to get the results of my CAT scan (finally, 10 days later, the JOY of socialized medicine, the arm got much worse last weekend, but at least I can type, unlike your good self). Maybe. We'll see. I also get to vote for one gang of fair-to-middlin' socialists against a gang of REAL socialists in the provincial election. With luck I'll die of this neck/arm thing and go to heaven where there are no socialists, but there will be my dog (for sure) and my mom (maybe) and JPII and Ronaldus Maximus and Bach, Handel, Mozart, Brahms, and Mahler composing and conducting THUNDEROUSLY magnificent music for the glory of the Lord (did you know it's said that when the angels play music to the glory of God they play Bach, but that "en famille" they play Mozart?) and Rocket Richard playing hockey and we'll wait for Mrs. Thatcher and have a great time and NO Jane Fonda and NO George Lucas and NO FDR or Trudeau, etc.

Yeah, right, dream on, Mr. Lowest Circle of Hell!

Good Afternoon, xs and group,

Sorry to be so late, but today is PA Primary Election Day, mrsgwmoore is home from work, and that makes for a mandatory "honeydo day" under supervision, of course. I have just finished installing new venetian blinds in the LR, after the duty VK had destroyed one of the old ones ;-)... Also, prodded into "cleaning up"..GRRRRRRRRRRRR.....

We also, dutifully, voted, no real important offices to fill in the local precinct here, just voted for the District Justice who mrsgwmoore works with (have to make sure she stays a Judge LOL)....and voted against the "incurring 650K of debt for cleaner air", basically, because I won't vote for anything Rendell wants, or support envirowhackos....

OK, an attempt to use the WFTD in a useful context...Well, let me think..... "The incredibly turbid thinking by "Newsweek" garbazine, concerning the alleged "flushing of the Koran" incident at Gitmo during an "interrogation" and their subsequent "withdrawal" of said story is a sad picture of the turbidity of the MSM coverage of all events which have happened since 9/11/01. Had things turned out like they SHOULD have, posters would have been on every spare space "KNOW YOUR ENEMY". Profiling would not only have been OK, but mandatory, and we would have been spared this insane turbid "look the other way syndrome" now existing at airports. We would have had clips of the 9/11 disaster, with "God Bless America" playing on all major networks as PSA's, and to open and close broadcast days, the whole attitude would have been, in fact, like WWII, when "Remember Pearl Harbor" was a battle cry, and we damn well knew who our enemies were, and were not PC Police forbidden to speak the truth.

In a less turbid environment, on 9/12/2001, PC would have been thrown out the window, orders would have been issued, keys turned, and large portions of real estate, important to said terrorists as shrines, turned into slabs of green glass, suitable neither as shrines, nor terrorist havens. The word would have been passed that if more acts were committed, more slabs of real estate would become green glass (Trinitite, after all, does look rather nice)....

Sorry for the rant, but the turbid waters not only allegedly flush religious texts, they also apparently flush brains, brains of reporters, who put Americans at risk by publishing this type of trash. Since this "could cause severe harm by disclosure to forces of the United States", this fits the definition of the classification of TS, therefore, Newsweek's action makes them guilty of Treason. IMHO they should be so charged. It is time to flush away the turbidity, and show some spines. Let us begin to face our problems squarely, and thus fight them on a level playing field.

Greg ( rant mode - select "OFF" position)

I can do one day a week, if you need me. But I may have to let the students switch papers and grade their own work. Can we trust them? ;)

Why golf is growing in popularity and MLB/NBA/NFL are not (and why I love it):

* Golf is an honorable game, played by mostly honorable people; no referee is needed
* Golf doesn't have one or more of its players in jail every week
* Golfers don't kick dirt, throw bottles, or curse when a bad play is made
* Golfers get paid in direct proportion to how well they play
* Golfers don't get a per diem or 2 airline tickets when traveling to the next event
* Golfers don't hold out for more money because another player got a better contract
* Taxpayers do NOT pay for the courses golfers play on
* Nobody covers your mistakes or backs you up
* Golf gives more money to charity in 1 year than the NFL gives in 2 years
* You can watch golf live all day for $25 or $30; a Super Bowl ticket will cost you (at LEAST) $350 - $1,000
* A golfer can't fail 70% of the time and still make $9 million a year, as opposed to a .300 hitter in MLB
* Golf does not change its rules to please players or fans
* Golfers have to compete under different conditions every week
* Golfers keep their clothes on when being interviewed on TV
* Jack Nicklaus, Byron Nelson or Arnold Palmer (even at the heights of their careers) would gladly shake your hand and say "Pleased to meet you"; Jose Canseco, at the height of his career, wore a t-shirt that read "Leave Me Alone".
* Golf courses don't ruin the neighborhood
* Tiger Woods can hit a ball more than twice as far as Barry Bonds
* You can take a picnic lunch to most golf tournaments; try taking a soda into any taxpayer-built stadium and you'll be asked to either throw it away or leave

and everyone.......

The article came out in the paper and although I am quoted I cannot share as it is not on-line, it's in the local community section. At least they did not make me look like an idiot. ;)

I have to forward that to our PE teachers since I spent two days this week with them, teaching golf to the elementary students. They'll love it.

Okay-I hurried as fast as I could, considering that I had to put away 2 1/2 weeks worth of groceries-

If we ever need a reminder
That the 'rat party is fond
Of outdated, murky thinking
Like some turbid stagnant pond

Just take a look at their syncophants
Newsweak and all that bunch
Whose blabbing caused death and injury
Over a false and frivolous hunch

Or take a look at their leader
The ever-screaming Howard Dean
His rhetoric appeals to the unwashed-
Is it any wonder which way they lean?

Between bolshevik leaders and the MSM
And ideals against the common grain
It won't be long till the 'rats are known
As the party of the insane
