I heard E.D. Hill opining on Fox this morning that she didn't think Wacko Jacko was guilty of molesting the kid who testified-but when one of her co-hosts (I think it was Brian) asked her if she'd let her kids visit Nererland for the night, she said of course she wouldn't...

Although the odds are against it (it IS California, after all), let's hope that common sense prevails.

IH 10 goes through the hill country from Boerne to Junction before veering over into WT. Granted, it isn't easy to appreciate the scenery when you are above it for the most part and going 70 mph...

It would make me very happy to see MJ have to wear an orange jumpsuit every day.

I heard Iron Maiden for the first time on the Detroit Classic Rock Station. They usually stick to the Stones era.
I'm getting old......

Certain senators can be expected to have a concupiscence-like feeding frenzy, all for our vieing pleasure. Carl Lenin for one.
I apologize for the stupidity from my state that elected that jerk. Don't blame me or my county. We all voted for Rocky.

Ugh.
Spray-primered some steel pieces last night: Cool, damp, lots of humidity here: Hadn't dried enough to sand and second-coat even by this morning.
Couldn't even clamp it in the vice until this afternoon.

Usuall6y just balusters as replacements for wooden in houses, not the whole stair balusrtade (rails, ballusters, and toe rails/shoes, and rosettes) but this client needed everything for his cabinet showroom down in Atlanta.
He wanted a very heavy, very thick antique wood rail be remolded, refinished, but didn't have any supports or newel posts. So I'm making not only the ballusters and their ornements, but the newell posts and brackets.
These steel pieces were 3/16 x 2" flat bent bars that will go under the wood rails to reinforce the mitered joints where it goes around a corner and changes direction 4 times.
Fortunately, they are underneath the wood, in an indoor location, so it's not likely to rust and get a lot of wear.
My otehr job is several hundred feet of outdoor compex rails that WILL be exposed to weatehr and corrosion. Indoors, that guy wants about 120 feet total of left and right curved balcony rails, 2 spiral stairs rails (one in the entrance, one to the ground floor), and some straight railing and stairs over by the kitchen.
House budget? Haven't asked, but some in that neighborhood are 600,000-1.5 million.

Frame carpentry is +/- 1/4 inch (1/8 if you're good), finish carpentry is as good as the sheet rock mud, trim carpentry is 1/32 so things match.
Stairs need to be closer than a few thousandths to fit so they don't wobble. Ironically. many, many times the left rail, the right rail, and the stairs themselves are at three different angles, but each is "tight" against itself.

sorry, my FRiend - you will get not one iota of sympathy from me about "humid and misty" and trying to light a grill.
We know how to solve the roof problem and it will be done next week, but we also have to tear out paneling in both the kitchen and family room to see just how much damage has been done within the walls.

We were given 2 Ansel Adams prints as wedding presents and they are hanging in the living room - they were part of his 1941-1942 Mural Project..........Jax just asked daddy how could he have done those pictures if he was born in 1941 and died in 1942........
