The SCOTUS today pulled the feeding tube of the American Private Property Rights. In so doing, these 5 justices have finally confirmed the total and unconditional power of the government over the people. Washington, Jefferson, Adams and Franklin are turning over in their graves...........
Can't we just throw those 5 out? Tell me again why justices sit for life??

Totally agree.
Just as there should be accountability for teachers and doctors and lawyers (which too is fiction in today's America), so also for judges. A good way to achieve that is fixed terms for less than life.
Might as well get used to it. Your entire existence is to serve the interests of the local, state and federal governments, and if you are impeding progress (read growth of the tax base) then your existence is unnecessary.

That's becoming a lousy excuse ... the justices don't care what the Constitution says, why should we?
Yep. This is pretty much the end.
They pay attention to the Constitution only when it fits their agenda, otherwise it might as well be a living document..........
I know...but sometimes I do think that's one area that the Founders could have done a bit differently.
Only if we can't get the REPUBLICAN controlled Congress to pass an AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION!........

They couldn't foresee such greed and misuse of the power of IMMINENT DOMAIN........
This is The Dred Scott Decision of this age............we are all slaves on the plantation now.......
This has been true since the founding of the Republic - it's only recently that governments have started deciding that the "ownership" level of property control gives too many rights to the "owner" when the government has something else in mind for the property.
Up until this age, imminent domain was used for public use of property, now it's being used for transfer of ownership from foe to friend...........

Maybe justices should have term limits for 20 years lets say. Don't forget, the life span was so much shorter in the 1780's that it was incomprehensible that a justice would be on the bench for 30 years or so.

THIS IS WHY WE NEED NEW 'SUPREME' COURT JUSTICES. This is the COURT THAT THE LEFT RABIDLY DEFENDS! 5-4 decision.
We conservatives need to make this crystal clear: WE DO NOT SIDE WITH THIS COURT DECISION!
