I have been reading the posts on FR for about a year now and finally am posting my first response. I am not a very smart or intelligent man when it comes to writing stuff like this, but I am smart enough to think for myself and know BS when it comes to liberals and Democrats. I've enjoyed reading your posts and I find them informative and amusing. I've read about 3 posts on DU and click off that website saying to myself "what a bunch of idiots". I am a registered Republican, born and raised in liberal idiotville central Maine and now live in Democratic Pittsburgh. My dad was a Teamster and democrat. I remember the tv on every night on the Phil Donahu show, thank God I was a kid at the time and didn't pay attention. Maine didn't have cable tv until a few years ago and when parents started watching Fox News, The O'reilly Factor and then 9/11 happened, he whistles a different tune now. He voted for Bush. I have a mother in law who has just the basic cable tv stations and the liberal Pittsburgh Post Gazette delivered everyday and its Bush bashing all the time when I go over there. If I try to inform her or give her alternate news source she rejects it. I guess she doesn't want her world upset. Here is some questions I have.
How come Fox isn't on regular basic cable? If more poor people and welfare people who can't afford anything more than basic cable could view Fox News, maybe they would have alternate news source. Why don't the wealthy Republicans put together a news channel that competes with ABC NBC CBS and will shoot straight from the hip, if the MSM tells a lie, they expose it, point by point, line by line. You don't know how bad I would like to see this happen. I get so sick of the spin, lies and outright deceit fed daily by the media. Is this country going to make it through another election and keep a Republican as president or the liberals going to multiply? or are more people starting to wake up and see the distortion? How come the liberal radio people sound like they have dead souls? Why are there arguements without depth and distortions? Are they mostly stupid and can't see it for themselves? I know Prez Bush is a religious man, but sometimes I wish he would lay down the truth, expose the lying Democrats who rail against him with lies and distortion. Do you know how sickening it is hearing all this crap? I wonder if the MSM purposely distorts and gives airtime to the Cindy Sheehans just because its the contraversy that keeps people tuned in. You know, while I was listening to the news about NO and all the trouble, looting, etc taking place, I started thinking about the movie, Black Hawk down and how it resembles that in NO right now. Let me share my experience when I live in Alexandria LA from 1994 to 1997. I remember the culture shock when I first live there, especially living around the blacks. For instance in stores, walking in streets, etc. Let me first say I am not a racist so these comments are factual. I can remember hearing them two aisles over in the grocery store, loud, boisterous, obnoxious sometimes, they had an attitude about them, kinda like, say something if you dare. They would walk down the road, not on the sidewalk, but in the road, they wanted you to hit them, hoping to get an insurance settlement I guess. One night, I was coming home and this dude was walking in the road, so I got right up behind him and slammed on the brakes, tires screetching, etc.. He jumped about 6 feet off the ground. hehehehe. I remember approaching a four lane road and getting ready to make a right turn, this guy was in the inside lane and purposely slowed down and put his vehicle in the lane next to me hoping I would smack into him, it took me a second to realize what he was doing. My wife was backing out of Albertsons grocery store, she saw the car pull up into the lane like they were waiting on her to pull out she she could have the spot, the guy pulls up close enough so she bumps into him, he jumps out saying, "I want a new car, I want a new car", she calls cops, the run a check on him and say, "get out of here, you have done this before". Let's not forget the ghetto blasters four blocks away, I remember sitting in my living room and watching the windows shake and saying to myself, "we got to get out of here". It was like an invasion of privacy. We lived in a garden district, the DOT put the new interstate through Alexandria and they tore down a bunch of housing projects and dispersed there occupants through out the city. The house right next to us was rented by a lady whose daughter was killed in car accident and she was left with 4-5 grandchildren. I rememember hearing her yelling at these kids through her walls when I was outside, "you little Mutha (&(^%*^*! Seemed liked she was always screaming profanities at them. I befriended these kids, I wrestled with them and gave them some attention, they ate it up. All they were looking for was someone to love them. One day I was sitting outside and they came over, they told me someone said that the white people were going to make blacks slaves again some day. They asked me about gangs once, I told them gangs weren't cool and only get you into trouble. I guess they must have told someone I said this cause one day someone put the eggs to our house when I wasn't home, my wife was inside and scared her pretty bad. The other big thing I had about living in Lousisiana, why do these people pull up to someones house in the middle of the night and blow the horn instead of going to there door? It was almost every night, 2:30 in the morning, lay on the horn. Seems they had a little drive up drug business going, my wife wanted me to write down lic plate numbers, I said no, if we do, we will pay for it. Somehow they got busted, she came home one day and Sheriff's dept vans all down the street and on the lawn, busted it, crack house, with 4-5 kids there. The grandmother was out jail later that day, back in business. I came home one day, packed up the car, my wife thought I was leaving her, I said I am for now, I'll come back when I get a job and find us a place to live. It took me three months, I went up to Tennessee, started a new life for us. I feel bad for those kids, hopefully what little time I spent with them will stick in their minds about white people.
I hope I haven't bored you all, just wanted to put my two cents worth in.
Feel free to flame, slam or share your thoughts about what I have said. I am new to this freepers thing, actually, I don't even know what it means.
Welcome to FR!
Being an overly-active news cycle with the largest natural disaster in U.S. history and the Chief Justice dying, you might not get many responses today.
That doesn't mean we're ignoring you....just busy with other things. ;-)
Ya think?
That would mean that you must have, somehow, missed all of mine.
hate to yell, but you have been a member since aprilof 2004 and you havent learned that we hate people who dont use paragraphs?
oops meant october of 2004.
The lack of paragraphs is a real killer.
Lived close to Macarthur Dr. did ya?,welcome to FR.
I didn't know paragraphs was all that important. What about fragmented sentences? Seems alot of posts are vocabulary challenged, as much as my lack of paragraphs.
I lived on Dartmouth St. It was near the minor league ball team field, can't remember their name now.
Just kidding;)
Remember,nothing on FR goes unchallenged.
It's not impossible, but it's very difficult to read.
If you need help with formatting your posts, go here.
You guys are mean-spirited, maybe the Democratic Underground bloggers are more loving and will accept me?
Good luck.
I was being sarcastic
