Thanks for stopping by. We miss the younger perspective on issues of the day when you don't stop in.

DO THEY REALLY BELIEVE WHAT THEY ARE SAYING???

JOHN sKERRY: It will be hard for this administration, but it is essential to acknowledge that the insurgency will not be defeated unless our troop levels are drawn down, starting immediately after successful elections in December.

Hmmm... Let me see now...

So...

If we retreat and surrender, we win.

Yep. I get it.

Only if forced. ;>)

Stock is cooking. I'm washing, sanitizing, and de-spotting all 75 plates, glasses, and flatware sets. I'm also washing and ironing the decorative napkins and refolding them. Although I may just do them rolled restaurant style. Tonight we go to the Commissary and get most of the food, and I'll start marinating and prepping tonight. This is a lot like work.

Remember, I want to see the menu.

I am trying to re-focus and stick to business today. Had a huge to-do list, have already knocked off all items but one. I'll tackle that after my walk.

Apparently Fitzgerald has put out the word that there will be no indictments today. Media disappointed once again. Fox has switched to scaring us about Bird Flu.

I suppose the liberals are as disappointed about that as they are excited about the death of our 2000th hero. :((

I'm taking lots of pictures. We're still not settled on a menu completely, it's somewhat driven by local prices.

I'm roasting honey glazed Texas pecans with cayanne pepper for the salad right now. Stock is finished, and cooling safely. Still washing dishes.

Well I'm disappointed an indictment was not against Mr and Mrs Wilson.

It was almost with glee cnn reported the 2,000th American military death in Iraq, this AM. They fail to report all the American deaths, were NOT in combat, but a lot were by other means. They give me such a hurt in the area I place on the chair. I find the msm dispicable, REALLY DISPIVCABLE! If and when we capture bin laden, his capture will be in fine print on page 22A. Personally, I think he's been with his 72 virgins for a long, long time.

The pecans sound soooooooo gooooood.

Guenie, if you're lurking, did Wilma do any damage in your area? I need to make some calls and see if my Florida friends are ok.

Nice little rant, there, t.a.c. Yes, if bin laden is captured alive, they will be screaming, demanding he have his 'rights'.

I put them in a large bowl, drizzle honey on them, sprinkle with a little cayanne, pepper melange, and sea salt. I mix them up well to just coat them, and spread them out on parchment on a sheet pan. I re-season them to make sure it's even, and then roast for about 10 minutes at 400F. When they cool, I break them up into individual pieces again, and store in a covered container. They stay good for about a week.

Yes, if bin laden is captured alive, they will be screaming, demanding he have his 'rights'.

The only "right" that he has is to be spat upon by the survivors and relatives of the deceased from the attacks on September 11, right before he is shot with 10 pork fat covered bullets from the 11-man firing squad.

[Oh, what the heck--don't load a blank. I don't think there's any conscience to salve...]
