"Don't let the Republicans send Rosa Parks to the back of the bus again. Call your senator and tell him to oppose the radical extremist Alito."

I would half-expect them to drag Rosa's coffin around in the back of a bus and then, in Wellstone funeral style, demand that the President honor Rosa Parks by nominating Al sharpton, Jesse Jackson or Louis Farrakhan to SCOTUS.

Chuckelhead reminds me of a mob lawyer, just without the class, style, sincerity, integrity, or intelligence.

Schiester is pathetic....who the hell is he to threaten the President of the US??

He is a complete sc^mbag and the fact the Republicans have not sought an inquiry into the illegal credit report his office ran (on Michael Steel I believe) is baffling\maddening to me!

Judge Alito hit the trifecta. Within an hour of his nomination there were blistering press releases from Punch Drunk Harry, Swimmer and Chuckie the Pig. If there were any doubts that our President had picked a winner, that ought to put them to rest.

You mean like Fox's JuWan Williams?

Most will never learn. For them, it's always groundhog day.

What a crock! Have Thomas and Scalia turned back the clock on civil rights? No! Then how will Alito (sp?)

I've been shocked when I've heard people (who one would normally assume to be sane) talk about this sort of thing...

I was working for a client (a local branch of a nation wide temp agency) and it just happened to be the day after President Bush won the 2004 election. I kid you not: The assistant manager was in tears! She was saying how Bush was going to reinstitute slavery! I kept trying to tell her that there was no way that could happen. She kept going on about how her husband (who worked at a power company) was telling her how Bush was going to veto the law that congress has to pass every year that outlawed slavery. I'm not making this up!

These are the people who vote for Schumer and his ilk.

Mark

"The Senate needs to find out if the man replacing Miers is too radical for the American people," said Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada. He chided Bush for not nominating the first Hispanic to the court."

"President Bush would leave the Supreme Court looking less like America and more like an old boys club," Reid said. Did you notice that these jerks were all for Harriet Meirs? A radical conservative? Kind of an oxymoron isn't it? I think Dingy Harry Reid, Schumer and Kennedy are too radical

Schumer is one UGLY vote and his opinion matters none.

He influences no one.

He has his echo chamber, but he doesn't persuade any open minded folks.

He's our perfect enemy.

A few minutes ago, Jesse Jackson stated that Alito is a "states rights man" whereas Rosa Parks was the victim of states rights.

Reverend Jerkson needs a history lesson on the use of the federal government to preserve the instution of slavery during the years leading up to the War of 1861, Reconstruction and the origin of Jim Crow laws before he pipes off about states's rights

Disparaging states' rights...or, in other words, the decentralization of power...while celebrating the all-powerful central government... a favorite pastime of tyrants everywhere:

[The] individual states of the American Union . . . could not have possessed any state sovereignty of their own. For it was not these states that formed the Union, on the contrary it was the Union which formed a great part of such so-called states....Certainly all the states in the world are moving toward a certain unification in their inner organization. And in this Germany will be no exception. Today it is an absurdity to speak of a ‘state sovereignty’ of individual provinces....In particular we cannot grant to any individual state within the nation and the state representing it state sovereignty and sovereignty in point of political power....National Socialism as a matter of principle, must lay claim to the right to force its principles on the whole German nation without consideration of previous federated state boundaries

Agreed. Schumer should try getting his hands off his seat for 5 minutes.

(We now take you to Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota for an interview by Freeper isthisnickcool)

isthisnickcool: Senator Wellstone, we now see that the Democrats are also making political points over the death of Rosa Parks. That, like you, they are using the death of the woman to spread lies. Don't you think this is ghoulish. Even more so since it's Halloweeen?

isthisnickcool: Ok, well Senator, how do you feel about the fact that Rosa Parks is in state at the Capitol Rotunda? If memory serves you were not afforded the same thing. In fact, they seemed to have thrown a kegger when you died. How did you feel about that?

isthisnickcool: C'mon Senator, you must have something to say about this! I bet you were looking down (or up maybe) as your funeral was going on. What did you think of all the laughter and the screaming of "We will win! We will win!"

isthisnickcool:Not sure what to say eh? See all these people laughing and having a good time. Keep in mind, you were dead! But with Rosa Parks they are acting respectful and very somber. It's been awhile ,hey, maybe this will refresh you memory:

isthisnickcool: Still no comment? OK, well, we appreciate your time Senator and we look forward to visiting with you again.

Oct 30, 2005 Sen. Buck Reamer (D, NY) opines on Prez Bush's nomination of Judge Samuel Alito:

"This is a dagger in the seat of the bus that was on the road to radicalizing the Supreme Court!"

"to Reverse Much of what Rosa Parks Put in Place"

Ah, yes, Rosa Parks. She was one of our best SC justices. I mean, one of our best legislators. Um, that is, one of our best presidents. Wait... I give up. How exactly did she "put" these things "in place"?

"Schumer is a shameless, despicable demagogue, just like Jackson."

Both are tyrants.

Schumer talks states' rights, women's rights, civil rights, privacy rights, victims' rights....Those who have read the Constitution know the only rights are individual rights but "Scumer" appears to not know that. Makes you wonder if such statements are pandering or true ignorance.
