AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1749) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 4, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 11/04/2005 4:50:32 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Violence continues for an eighth straight day in the suburbs of Paris. Over 200 vehicles were set ablaze overnight.

Meanwhile, in this country, the Las Vegas mayor suggested that people who are caught defacing freeways with grafitti should have their thumbs cut off--on TV.

And the media, doing what they do best--harrass--have been so bent on going after Judge Alito's mother, who is 90 years old, that she has become, for all intents and purposes, a prisoner in her own home. Neighbors say she isn't even able to go outside and undertake one of her favorite activities, tending to her flowers, for fear of being hounded by media outlets.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

It doesn't give me a lot of confidence in her son when I read this. Why in the ^#@& don't they just ignore the media? She doesn't have to talk to them. I don't understand why she just doesn't go about her business.

At age 90, she could go out there to tend the fall flowers with a stone face and ignore their questions. How is the media going to know whether or not she's stone deaf? If this family cannot figure out how to stonewall the media, it doesn't bode well for the future. They can take all the pictures they want. Pictures with no quotes aren't going to get them anywhere.

The press would go elsewhere if she went about her business but didn't talk to them. The way it is, with her holed up in the house the press holds out hope she will sooner or later come out and speak to them.

There is no way I would allow these scumbags to interfer with my gardening.

Thanks for the links, Molly! Here on FR a few days ago, Southack said (something like) there are more pics of Valerie Plame on the front page than coverage of these riots.

I guess "all Plame and no flames" makes MSM a very deceptive brat.

A GOOD A.M. TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA, BRUISED BUT NOT BROKEN!!!!

And to think, I use to be a Democrat, forgive me Lord.

Riots? France? NEVER in a 'better than you' country. Must be George's fault.

Fog here today, looks weird outside. Maybe the green monster from the swamps of Mississippi will sleek the 'blog'. or a Democrat.

Well. well. well, look who has bought stock in the oil companies and what all else will be raveled I wonder.

Going in town today (boy, that sounds so good) and start getting my stuff for the 'shack in the back'. This is going to be fun, what color, you know, the same ole same ole. I will start by lining out where to put the electrical plugs, the lights, fan, etc. Think i am going to put me a screen door up as well, put that little ball of cotton on the screen and keep the flies out. I will put a zip lock bag hanging on the porch with water in it to keep the flies away, gotta put a quarter in it ya know for it to be effective. Put a piece of garlic in you attic and it will keep the roaches away too. Sometimes it works on spiders as well. Put a ring around your hose of flour and shulpher and it will keep the bad spirits away, gotta have the sulphur in it or it will not work. HONEST, CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO DIE!!!! (of course I could go on and on ya know).

Notice the media is always having people who lost races in politics on as guests? As 'experts'? If they are so smart how come they were not elected, huh?

Here is praying that all have a good day, a safe one and, that sickness not be on you. Don't forget, a 'Hi', a 'good morning', a smile will really go a long way with someone.

"Frost my cake" is too polite a way to put it, Chairman, but as you know...we try to by careful with our language around here...

always, I think we need to retrain our minds and tongues...it's not MSM but LSM...LiberalScreamingMedia

I need to get some things done around here, then head out.

I've already done some work in the garden!!

Well. well. well, look who has bought stock in the oil companies and what all else will be raveled I wonder.

The low down on Michael Moore, the hypocrit hypocrit's master...

First, what Moore slams in his "documentaries"--

**Roger and Me--GM

**The Big One--Nike and PayDay

**Bowling for Columbine--American gun industry

**Farhenheit 911--Oil companies

**Sicko [in production]--Drug companies and HBO

**TV Nation and The Awful Truth--HMOs and defense contractors

Moore claims to own not one single share of stock. Technically true, but in a foundation fully controlled by him and his wife, Moore:

**Owned stock in pharaceutical and medical companies--Pfizer, Merck, Genzyme, Elan PLC, Eli Lily, Becton Dickenson, Boston Scientific

**Owned stock in energy companies--Sunoco, Noble Energy, Schulmberger, Williams Companies, Trasnocean Sedco Forex, Anadarko

**Sold shares he owned in Haliburton, making 15 percent profit

**Used proceeds from Haliburton sale to buy stock in: Noble, Ford, GE, AOL Time Warner, McDonalds

**Owns stock in Honeywell, Boeing, Loral

**Has a net worth in the eight-figures range, but only contributed $36,000 to charity--but that was to friends in the film business or cultural organizations that would give him a sounding board for his books and films

**Has complained about the lack of African-Americans in prominant positions and has suggested he will only hire minorities who come from the working class, and then only blacks. BUT--Fahrenheit 911 had 14 producers, 3 editors, 1 production manager, and 1 production coordinator, ALL WHITE; Bowling for Columbine, 13 of 14 producers, two production executives, the cameraman, film editor, and music composer, ALL WHITE; TV Nation, 13 producers, 4 film editors, 10 writers, but no blacks.

**Says he is part of the working class, but flew to London on the Concorde, stayed at the Ritz, and also booked a room at a cheap hotel where he would meet with journalists and present himself as "a man of humble circumstances."

BARF.

Putting the "H" in Hypocracy

Fascinating from Robert Spencer, Molly.

And in France, Sarkozy recently revealed that this week’s riots are just a particularly virulent flare-up of an ongoing pattern of violence: he told Le Monde that twenty to forty cars are set afire nightly in Paris’ restive Muslim suburbs, and no fewer than nine thousand police cars have been stoned since the beginning of 2005.

Whoa! The studious ommission of the "M" word from Aye Pee and Rooters says it all, IMO. They try to turn this into a civil rights issue when it's a muslim vs. western culture issue.

Good morning all. We will be changing undisclosed locations in a day or so. Hope to not be off FR very long.

Today would have been Larry's 90th birthday. He LOVED his birthdays and was like a little kid when it came to presents. I am so VERY grateful that my day is going to be a full one at the clinic. Take a little time today and hug your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you.

I am Blessed with a wonderful family and a multitude of terrific friends and I am grateful for each one of you....may God continue to Bless you.

How about special counsel Fritsgerald comment about preferring his indictment of Mr. Libby to have been made in the election of 2004? Great people we have "protecting" our judicial system.

From the above article.......

Volk Field is where we went in August for Ev's sendoff. Inside the hangar in the background is where the troops stood in formation during the many speeches and accolades. You can see some of the many flags that are hanging inside.

Two of these brothers just returned from Iraq. The third will be shipping out with Ev's unit.

Thanks Sweetie.

In some ways it's like he never left...........I know he's here because I see the dirty dishes, wet towels, etc. etc. etc.;^)

But he's been spending a LOT of time with Katie and most of the rest of the time with his buddies. He does squeeze in a bit of time for us here & there and we had a nice talk last night. Tomorrow we are taking Ev & Katie out for lunch. Sunday a.m. we will go to the airport with the 2 of them, and then bring Katie home.....after.

I'd better get moving here........another sort-of-busy day.

Vallely: Wilson told me 'my wife is CIA' in 2002 [my title]

Paul Vallely, on air last night on the John Batchelor show, said he met Joe Wilson in 2002 in the "green room" of a cable network's studio.

Both Vallely and Wilson were waiting to go on air. Wilson, at that time, was packaging himself as an expert on Iraq.

Vallely said that since he and Wilson found they had some acquaintances in common, they began talking. In the course of the conversation, Wilson told Vallely that Wilson's wife worked for the CIA.

This conversation, Vallely said, took place in 2002, several months before Plame's alleged "outing" at the hands of Karl Rove and Scooter Libby, via Robert Novak's column published July 14, 2003.

I listened to Fitsgerald's comments during his press conference -- he never mentioned anything about the election. I think what he was saying was that he would have preferred the investigation to only take a few months instead of taking over a year.

Granted, Fitsgerald's investigation should have concluded once it was determined that Plame was not covert and no law was broken -- the remainder of the investigation was a perjury trap. However, I think it's quite a stretch to claim that Fitsgerald is some sort of Democrat party hack out to bring down a Presidency.

Keep in mind, despite what Fairy Reid has said, Fitsgerald has publically and categorically denied that the indictment of Libby is an indictment of the war in any way, shape, or form.

OMG... This is the sickest thing I've read yet from Paris. Off Michelle Malkin's blog:

Disabled Woman Set Ablaze Updated: 12:36, Friday November 04, 2005

A handicapped woman was doused with petrol and set on fire by youths during another night of rioting in Paris.

The 56-year-old suffered third degree burns to 20% of her body in the attack.

Witnesses said a youth poured petrol over the woman and then threw a Molotov cocktail on to the bus she was travelling on in the suburb of Sevran.

Other passengers were able to flee but she was unable to escape because of her disabilities.

It was the worst incident so far in more than a week of rioting.

For the first time, there were also signs of copycat rampages elsewhere in France.

Humor break...

 Political  Viewpoint  : COWS

Lesson In Political  Science

DEMOCRATIC

You have two cows.
Your  neighbor has none.
You feel guilty for being successful.
Barbara  Streisand sings for you.

REPUBLICAN

You have two cows.
Your  neighbor has none.
So?

SOCIALIST

You have two cows.
The  government takes one and gives it to your neighbor.
You form a  cooperative to tell him how to manage his cow.

COMMUNIST

You have two cows.
The  government seizes both and provides you with milk.
You wait in line for  hours to get it.
It is expensive and sour.

CAPITALISM,  AMERICAN STYLE

You have two  cows.
You sell one, buy a bull, and build a herd of cows.

BUREAUCRACY,  AMERICAN STYLE

You have two  cows.
Under the new farm program the government pays you to shoot one,  milk the other, and then pours the milk down the drain.

AMERICAN  CORPORATION

You have two  cows.
You sell one, lease it back to yourself and do an IPO on the 2nd  one.
You force the two cows to produce the milk of four cows. You are  surprised when one cow drops dead. You spin an announcement to the  analysts stating you have downsized and are reducing expenses.
Your  stock goes up.

FRENCH CORPORATION

You have two cows.
You go on  strike because you want three cows.
You go to lunch and drink  wine.
Life is good.

JAPANESE  CORPORATION

You have two  cows.
You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary  cow and produce twenty times the milk.
They learn to travel on  unbelievably crowded trains.
Most are at the top of their class at cow  school.

GERMAN CORPORATION

You have two cows.
You  engineer them so they are all blond, drink lots of beer, give excellent  quality milk, and run a hundred miles an hour.
Unfortunately they also  demand 13 weeks of vacation per year.

ITALIAN  CORPORATION

You have two cows  but you don't know where they are.
While ambling around, you see a  beautiful woman.
You break for lunch.
Life is good.

RUSSIAN  CORPORATION

You have two  cows.
You have some vodka.
You count them and learn you have five  cows.
You have some more vodka.
You count them again and learn you  have 42 cows.
The Mafia shows up and takes over however many cows you  really have.

TALIBAN  CORPORATION

You have all the  cows in Afghanistan, which are two.
You don't milk them because you  cannot touch any creature's private parts.
You get a $40  million grant from the US government to find alternatives to milk  production but use the money to buy weapons.

IRAQI  CORPORATION

You have two  cows.
They go into hiding.
They send radio tapes of their  mooing.

POLISH  CORPORATION

You have two  bulls.
Employees are regularly maimed and killed attempting to milk  them.

BELGIAN  CORPORATION

You have one  cow.
The cow is schizophrenic.
Sometimes the cow thinks he's French,  other times he's Flemish.
The Flemish cow won't share with the French  cow.
The French cow wants control of the Flemish cow's milk.
The cow  asks permission to be cut in half.
The cow dies happy.

FLORIDA  CORPORATION

You have a black cow  and a brown cow.
Everyone votes for the best looking one.
Some of  the people who actually like the brown one best accidentally vote for the  black one.
Some people vote for both.
Some people vote for  neither.
Some people can't figure out how to vote at all.
Finally, a  bunch of guys from out-of-state tell you which one you think is the  best-looking cow.

CALIFORNIA  CORPORATION

You have millions of  cows.
They make real California cheese.
Only five speak  English.
Most are illegals.
Arnold likes the ones with the big  udders.

Afternoon everyone.

Dog, how'd the house thing go???Waiting anxiously to hear...

I'm ready, finally to write about my horse adventure...Summer '04...Pay attention Mozie:-))

Okay, this was out West at the family reunion - (husband's side)

Anyway, there were some riding stables in this town, and I'd always wanted to ride, so I mentioned it, and one of my husband's cousins liked the idea too...but she was quite experienced.

So we got our reservations....remember I wore a white jacket? Sheesh...no boots, but my athletic shoes and jeans, and a sun hat - we were up about 7,000 feet.

There were 2 guys running the place...one to lead the 6-7 of us signed up for the 90 min. ride, and the other to stay behind. In case of problems, they would communicate by walkie-talkie.

This ride was billed as "One size fits all" IOW, no experience necessary!

Hey, that should work...My cousin told me that "experience" related pretty much to the WAY we would move: canter, gallop, walk. This ride would be WALKING! Good. I thought I could handle that!!

So one of the guys sorted thru the horses, looking us over too, and matching horse to rider.

I got a nice-black, quiet looking animal, called Smokey, I believe. He seemed tame... This was going to work!!

With help I mounted, as did the others, and then we were organized into a line.

Now there was a French woman and her 2 kids....they were experienced...and bratty. We were instructed how to handle the horses, etc., and they kept breaking the rules. Figures, right?

Anyway, the leader sized them up pretty fast, and put them right behind him. There was one other no-experienced woman, and she was put at the rear which I wondered about. Her husband was in front of her, and I was in the middle in front of my husband's cousin.

The rules were things about keeping the horses from eating the grass along the way, walking, using the leash appropriately and so forth.

I felt pretty comfortable as we left the corral, with my cousin behind me. The horse seemed steady and calm!

Well, right off the bat, we cross a stream. That worried me: the rocks and uneven surfaces, and all.

But we did it, and I was pretty pleased, when WHAM!

My horse shies, whinnies, and AACK! He's going one way, and I'm headed in the opposite direction!!!

What had happened???

Well, a darn cat had come from nowhere to frighten him...I heard the other horses make some noises, but mine was the only one to react so strongly, and Guess What??

I managed to stay mounted!

It took a lot of strength and coordination, but the poor horse and I managed to reconnect with me in the middle of the saddle, my shoes still in the stirrups.

Hey! What worse could happen?? If I had survived that, what more could happen? And if it did, I guess I could manage....

Well, the next thing was we started up the mountain. YES, mountain! This wasn't some walk across flat, open spaces. We were headed up a narrow, rocky trail, a nother thousand feet or so.

Deep breath time....DEEEP Breath! But I was still game....or foolish...

There were no further "incidents"...no problems...going down was a little scary too, tho...

And oh was I sore at the end, and my white jacket pretty soiled...The guy had to lift me off the horse. No help from me, tired and sore...

Still, I was glad I'd done something I'd always wanted to...successfully!!

A few days later we were in another city, visiting one of my cousins...a physical therapist. I knew Pam had ridden, too.

So I asked her: you know me, my age, etc. Would you take up riding if you were me? She paused, and said, No, not if there were other ways I could enjoy the outdoors.

She's just seen too many injuries...

So I think that is that: a wonderful memory. Maybe I'll try again....but I don't want to push my luck!
