You just have to wonder if those dweebs would have been dragging their feet and creating such a mess if Trent Lott were the Senate President.

Frist is GWB's man, so I guess GW is 'fine' with Frist's preformance.

I was never a 'Lott Fan', but I'm less of a Frist Fan. He doesn't seem to have people management skills. His dismal preformance will come home to haunt him when he's running for President. If he can't get anything out of them when he's on the Senate Floor with them, there's no way in HE!! he can get anything out of them when he's at the other end of the Mall.

Sorry for the delay in reply. I have been finishing the last batch of cookies, which I am going to hide from my husband until tomorrow night.

You know what's so puzzling to me? When Lott left I thought Frist was a better choice because I thought as a heart surgeon he would have had more moxie. He is the first surgeon I have ever heard of who is wishy-washy.

I don't know that Lott would have done a better job. Given his performance with the first two years of President Bush's administration (power sharing, missing the Jeffords defection) I am not so sure about him, either.

I am so disgusted with the Senate right now that I can't make a decent judgement about any of them.
