Can't believe "Alone Again" by Dokken isn't on that list

I heard that song the other day and could not get it out of my head. Good song.

Although the Scorps rocked, they often had horrible lyrics (probably partly due to English being their second language), however, "Still Loving You" was a great song!

I was born in '77 but I've heard them all, plenty of times!

"Don't Close Your Eyes" - Kix

Or "Almost Paradise" - Mike Reno/Ann Wilson

That's a good one. I actually did an inebriated karaoke rendition of that song a couple years ago.

I do, but the damn thing has either Rush Limbaugh bellowing or Miles Davis blowing his horn. ;o)

I would also add one or both of these two (generally regarded as the first "power ballads")..."Babe" or "Lady" by Styx.

Well, truth is since I LIKE hair bands (and harder metal) and nobody plays them, I listen to either talk radio or CD's.

Can't believe "Alone Again" by Dokken isn't on that list. After all, it was one of the first REAL power ballads!

Or Dokken's "In My Dreams"

I'm old enough, but I kept playing my Tull and Grateful Dead albums in lieu of listening to the radio. :o)

George Lynch's guitar solo in that song gives me goosebumps!

I'm trying to learn the guitar part to that one right now. Just the riff, not the Lynch solo near the end...I'm in no way that talented yet!
