These performances are so binary this week. Some of them were brilliant, others crap.
It's pretty clear who is a lock to advance and who should be calling a cab.

Please, please, please, let it be Paris. My sentiments exactly. She has been a TOTAL disappointment. Talented girl who, like Katharine McPhee, was way over-trained by the professional singer/voice coach adults in her life. How old is Paris? She's a kid who was trained to sing and perform like someone from her grandma's generation, if not older. It's extremely difficult to reverse such habits learned in childhood. The girl doesn't know who she is musically.
Although Katharine expresses it differently (anxiety and lack of self-confidence in her case) she has much the same problem as Paris. I can just hear her mom browbeating her into singing and performing the way mom would have done it instead of letting the kid express her own musical creativity.

He looks thin. Not sickly thin, but thinner than I remember.I heard Bo on Seacrest's radio show the other day talking about his illness. It's a condition he's had from childhood, but he didn't specify what the condition is.

My problem is nobody seems to have the whole package. One might have the looks but not the voice or personality, one the voice but not the looks or personality, etc. In past seasons I've known almost from the beginning who I wanted to win. Maybe it'll change.

ok - i've lost it - retirement must be getting to me - why the hell i said Bo sang at The Oyster House ----- he didn't, TAYLOR DID....you think at 55 dementia is setting in??? But Bo did just do a pretty good job....and what I loved about him is that he & Ryan were talking about him moving and there was none of him patting himself on the back by letting folks know that he's let a family of Katrina move in free of charge.....I love this guy!
