John McCain has been on the big screen with in the hit film, 'The Wedding Crashers' with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. Now he'll team with Kiefer Sutherland on one of America's hottest and non-politically correct shows '24.'
The Arizona Senator will make a brief appearance in a February episode.
'24' has been criticized by some liberals for - get this -its depiction of the torture of terrorists to extract information for Sutherland's character Jack Bauer to save the world. But just like the nudity and 'R' rating didn't stop McCain from entertaining the "wedding Crashers' that apparently won't stop him from the Fox show.
But he will keep his mouth shut.
TV Guide reports:
Senator John McCain's recent visit to the set of Fox's 24 yep, he's a superfan resulted in a non-speaking cameo for the politico. In the Feb. 6 episode, executive producer Howard Gordon tells USA Today, watch closely and you'll see McCain make "a little Alfred Hitchcock star turn" when he hands off a file folder to Audrey.
Jack's old flame will then begin sobbing uncontrollably because 1) she really wanted McCain to win the 2000 California primary and 2) that's what she does.

Bauer and McCain? The world has never been safer. '24 airs each Monday night on Fox.

I think Mc might have issues with the way Jack gets his information out of the terrorist.
Well, McCain & I see eye-to-eye on at least one thing.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Bauer will be hunting McCain from safe house to safe house in Fallujah.
McCain and the media -- birds of a feather. Well, unlike the runup to the 2000 election, at least we know EXACTLY where McCain stands --- everywhere! -- and the last thing he is, is a conservative.
Tell you one plot I'd like to see happen where Jack Bauer fails, that is where there is a cloud of truth serum dropping over a Democrat convention just before it airs on national television.
Maybe Chloe will blow him away! ;-)
Will McCain finally meet his match in Chloe's sneer?
as I said on the chat thread.
McCain is a huge fan, and now even a guest star, of a show that engages in everything he is against - beatings of suspected terrorists, denial of legal rights to enemies of foreign powers, use of wiretaps and surveillance without court orders, etc.
yet McCain appears on this show. its the equivalent of Pat Robertson appearing in an adult film.
WOO HOO!!!!!
Give MeCain McVain credit for worming his pie-hole onto the best-viewed series this season.
Shummie must be jealous for sure.
I know Donald Sutherland ("Professor Jennings") is a huge liberal, but what about Kiefer? Seems like a decent dude.
I think he is also a liberal, but as long as he shuts up and sings, so to speak, I will keep watching.
Why was that movie a hit?
And now they have to go and try and ruin the show for me....
McCain on '24'????
===
Bauer: "Senator, one of those two identical canisters in the other room contains the key that will get us out of here before that bomb goes off. The other contains a sample of nerve gas. Get the key"
McCain: "I will"
Bauer: "And Senator"
McCain: "Yes Jack?"
Bauer: "Shut the door after you leave"

Remember, its only TV escapism.
Okay, so did anyone notice McCain's micro-cameo? It was in one of the multiscreen shots following a commercial. No speaking bits at all, not even a full screen...
