Couldn't they let him catch just one more, for old times' sake?..........

The man was a dedicated professional and probably the greatest receiver of all time. Never heard of any off-the-field problems either.

Rice ends matchless career as a 49erThat's all well and good, but I prefer her as a National Security Advisor.

Sure. As long as Roy Williams gets to pop him after the catch.

Never heard of any off-the-field problems either. Only that dancing with the stars thing.

He can still play better than most recievers out there. Especially on Monday night.
To: Lazamataz
Her career as a 49er was limited. Although she had the hands, the height and the reach she could not take a hit from a 245 pound linebacker.

Jerry Rice = son of a bricklayer.
South40 = son of a bricklayer.
I'm pretty sure the comparisons end there.

Jerry Rice - A class act if there ever was one.

Great but arrogant receiver. He still fumbled in that 1999 Packers/Niners Wildcard playoff game damnit.

Excellent move. I'll always remember those years.
It's not like we'll have any more like that with the present ownership...
