Dear Sweet Jesus,

These people are so evil. There is a reason I haven't been posting much on this forum in the past few years. I believe that powerful people (Republicans and Dems) are behind an unspeakable, yet obvious evil. If this gets me ridiculed, accused of being a conspiracy theorist, or banned from this site, so be it.

Prayers for Noreen. Her nightmare...and that of her poor son...continues.

Wow. That's pretty harsh considering you don't even know Noreen. You have no idea what she has gone through & is still going through. If my child was missing, I'd do all I could to find him. She's not trying to "sell a book". She's trying to keep this story out in the public eye. You would do no less for your child.

I agree. I think she is desperately trying to find out what happened to her boy. Sad.

Thank you. And the best way to do that is to use the media.

Most of the parents who've gone through this kind of thing will second that. Media exposure is crucial. Frankly, it is better than LE efforts. Sadly, even with broad national coverage many are never found.

Huh? If I thought my missing child was someone I'd seen on television, I'd contact that person ASAP. As far as I can tell, she hasn't done that. That's not a frantic mother; that's an opportunist.

Are you talking about Gannon? From what I've read the mother is not so sure that's him and from what I understand she has done just that; called the man. But she can't get a confirmation from him. What else can she do? Remember, even if she thought this theory about Gannon were bogus she would still check it out...and she did.

Any amount of exposure in the media is going to increase the odds of resolution. I seriously doubt the mother is making a fortune off of a book; if even making a living from it. But what she IS doing is she's getting word out about the case. Think about it.

I also seriously doubt she fabricated the pictures, so let's say she IS trying to write a book. Would she NOT report the pictures? Of course she would report it. Think about it.

If your child went missing and expert after expert told you that the key to resolution is media coverage, what would you do? Most people would probably write a book, do an interview, or whatever it took. Think about it.

We should all have our faith strengthened by this mother's 24 year witness and we would all be lucky to have a mother like that. Think about it.

My understanding is that Gannon offered to take a DNA test; a link was posted up thread about it. It sounded like she didn't take him up on his offer but I'd have to go back through the entire thread to confirm that I read that correct; it was several days ago and perhaps I'm mistaken.

I read in an interview I followed links to that the mother did indeed try to obtain DNA from this man and he has evaded her. She was told by a number of molested children/now adults that he is her son. Time will tell. I think I would have had a private detective obtain DNA or fingerprints on the sly. Hard to do with the man's shaved head and all though.

That was also my understanding; that the man was evasive. Given the weirdness of the claim and his evasiveness, I think the mother has done all we can expect her to do with that angle of her investigation.

I get the sense that she has her doubts about it but doesn't want to ignore the possibility, either.

Something to ponder:

The Martin boy also of West Des Moines and abducted about a year later was also taken from his newspaper route. Brian Bleyl was abducted from his paper route in Phoenix, AZ in 1981. A man confessed to the murder of Brian Bleyl to 3 different people; stating that the boy had made a homophobic slur to him. The boy's bike was found right behind his apartment some 20 feet away and the boy was seen at this man's door. The man's name was Stephen Wilson.

Stephen Wilson died in December, 1993 of AIDS and was openly homosexual. He was 44 years old. In 1990 he was tried and acquitted for the murder of Brian Bleyl due to lack of evidence. The boy's body has never been found.

If an MO appears to be developing here, you can note that all the boys looked very similar. Another boy, Marc Allen, who looked very similar to the others was abducted from Des Moines in 1986. In 1989 another very similar looking boy was abducted at St. Joseph, MN by the name of Jacob Wetterling.

Of all the abductions of this very rare type, there were only about 90 throughout the United States from 1981 to 1991. Only about a dozen of them are similar in all respects to these.

Now she's an "opportunist"? You're judging someone you have never met. Walk in her shoes a few days and then get back to me.

BTW, another Gosch-Wetterling look-alike:

http://www.doenetwork.us/cases/42dmco.html

He disappeared about one day's drive from Phoenix and Des Moines, directly on the land route between them. The road he was walking leads a couple miles up to a campground.

Here's a profile of another one:

I think there's probably more.

You're amazing. You're not a PI in real life are you? I'd hire you. I hope the police worked as hard on this case as you have. Once again, thank you so much.
