Dr Sayyed Mohammad Ali, who predicted this week's death of Egyptian acclaimed writer Najib Mahfouz, is focusing his expertise on predicting the fall of the Jewish State, the Qatar-based newspaper al-Watan reported. Dr. Ali, who successfully predicted the death of two prominent Egyptian artists, said Israel will launch a new war [by] the end of 2007 and Lebanon will witness "regretful events." He said he had predicted that in 2006 opposition to the United States will increase, and this is evident today in the coalition between Iran and Syria... He also predicts a confrontation between Israel and Iran, which could take place as early as 2007. Ali predicts a war in Iran and the Persian Gulf area, an assassination of an Arab leader and more terror attacks in Britain and the United States... According to Ali, during that year, China, Russia and India will back Syrian President Bashar Assad in his confrontation with the United States and the war and "Palestinian resistance to Israel" will increase. The year 2007 will mark the beginning of the countdown for the destruction of Israel, a process that will last 17 years, he claimed.

Israel has never launched a war -- it has risen up in self-defense against Moslem attempts at mass-murder.
Well, however you play it, if this guy is correct then we'll have the destruction of islam in 11 years. Couldn't happen too soon for me.
Meant 17, not 11.
He said Israel, not Islam.
I'm assuming if Israel is wiped out so will most of the arab countries.

In the mid-70s, I read a piece (possibly in Rolling Stone) about Israel's nuclear program history. There was a anecdote (source unknown) about the 1973 war. Moshe Dayan went to Golda Meir and said, "the Third Temple is ending," and she then authorized the use of nuclear weapons as the final retribution. The bombs were being loaded onto the planes when the arrival of the reservists, and then the US airlift, and the Sinai counterattack, turned the war in Israel's favor.
China, Russia and India will back Syrian President Bashar Assad in his confrontation with the United States
Hahahahaha. Vey funny.
A few of the predictions were really, really difficult to explain without resort to the stars -- such as, anti-American feeling will increase. I think the US should concentrate on increasing anti-American feeling in Moslem countries, because it would lead to millions of strokes, embolisms, and heart failures. Problem solved.
That strategy would also eliminate quite a few of our own liberals. The kind of Bush Derangement Syndrome they're suffering from can't be doing any good to their stomach linings. It must be awful to begin the day by saying something like, "Breakfast sure smells great--but Bush is still a dummy!"
Yeah, Bush is really stupid. He's chosen his battles, stuck to them, and maneuvered the Democretins into taking the opposite position (or being stuck with a confusing, modified "me too") on various issues where Bush's position is the will of the people. What a maroon, eh? ;')
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
Who cares what this "Dr. Sayyed Mohammed Ali" predicts? Didn't his Egyptian ancestor Ramses the Pharaoh have dire pedictions for the Israelites as well?
"..A grit eating, scum sucking, pencil necked geek!"
Ramses II? Nope. Ramses II was too busy having his cartouche carved over those of earlier pharaohs, and having statues made (or recarved) in his image. And that's just scratching the surface of why that wasn't the case. :')

Qatar will disappear in 6 years.
Y'know, maybe the forecast just means that the Israelis will discover the secret of invisibility. Then the terrorists will be screwed.
;')
Cool FR homepage, HolyOlio.
Oh good grief.
Mahfouz was 94 years old. He had a medical history of bleeding ulcer, kidney problems and cardiac failure. He had fallen and sustained a head injury in July. His death was not exactly a difficult prediction to make.
Because before 2006, Iran and Syria did not oppose the United States?
:') Thanks. I've made it more concise. ;')
It was like the Iraqi Information Minister's response as American tanks were rumbling around downtown Baghdad.
Needless to say, the impending demise of the nation of Israel is greatly exaggerated.

The arabs who are islamokazis like to talk themselves into a frenzy with this stuff, not knowing they only set themselves up for destruction. Once they have all this "evidence" of a "destruction" of Israel, they get fired up and try again.
And lose, again.
However, they will think they've finally done it when the Great Tribulation comes and they're just about to finish off Israel when ... (you know the ending already)
This is parochial thinking. Neither China nor Russia, nor the US for that matter is that deeply interested in the ME. If the children in Iraq would grow up the US could leave there, too and the ME could forget all about the US.
In his dreams.
Interesting. And there's Australia, going it alone at the bottom of the world.
My money is on what the bible says is the outcome, and not this moron.

I thought Iran had opposed the US since, oh, about 1978! Did I miss something?
In July 2006, Mahfouz sustained an injury to his head as a result of a fall. He had remained ill since then. He died on Aug 30, 2006 in a Cairo hospital after a heart attack. Prior to that, he had been suffering from a bleeding ulcer, kidney problems and cardiac failure.
Really how hard was it to predict his death?
I think it is more likely that
The earth, moon, sun and Milky Way would disappear, cease to exist
than it is likely that Israel will disappear within 17 years.
Israel will likely be scared/threatened within a hair's breadth of it's existence . . . But ALMIGHTY GOD IS HER GUARANTOR . . . And HE IS UTTERLY RELIABLE.
The truth is that only when THE KING, the REAL MESSIAH, THE TRUE CHRIST comes back. Thank you for that picture graphic.
