Mixed thoughts on tonight's episode. Seems like they needed to get some of the relationships current and the fights were an interesting vehicle for that to happen. Bit too much soap opera drama though. I guess we will see how the realignment will carry forward to the food problem and how they solve it.
Kara Thrace is one screwed up woman and Lee Adama is just waiting to get emotionally abused again. This whole cat and mouse thing is an endless loop that the writers can milk for melodrama.
The sex and violence angle was pretty powerful though.

The music reminds me of Firefly....There are more than a few little reminders...
For instance, in the mini-series, as Roslyn is waiting for the doctor, during the scene through the window, you'll see a Firefly pass through. Not surprising that happened, or the fact that BSG has the same "feel" in many cases to Firefly, since the same effects house did both shows. And you're right... The music in tonight's episode sounded A LOT like the music in the Firefly episode "Safe."

I really liked tonight's' episode, but I'm a girl, so what can I say?! I liked getting more backstory on what happened on New Caprica. Very interesting, IMO. The whole episode is completely unrelated to the Cylons, but I think it's ok to take a break once in a while.

I really liked tonight's' episode, but I'm a girl, so what can I say?! I think they threw in the brutal beatings to keep the guys interested, while they filled in some of the relationship questions to explain behaviours for us girls. The back-flashes of Lee & Kara interacting were a masterful touch.

Actually I really enjoyed the fights too. But I'm a football kind of girl, so I don't mind the tension of good brutal exercise. ;)
But I really enjoyed Lee/Kara - these are the scenes I (and probably a lot of other fans) have been waiting for. The tension!!! Yeah, I definitely enjoyed it. :)
