WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Nov. 27 (AScribe Newswire) -- Now anyone can think like a rocket scientist, thanks to a new book written by a Purdue University professor.
"This book is for people who would like to learn the methods rocket scientists use and have them told in a way that you can apply to your everyday life," said James Longuski, a NASA veteran and professor of aeronautics and astronautics. "There is not one single equation."
Thinking like a rocket scientist is a valuable skill because the same general methods apply to the completion of any project, said Longuski, who was a maneuver analyst and a mission designer for nine years at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, in Pasadena, Calif., before coming to Purdue in 1988.

Maybe they're the guys who can fly a cruise missile through your bathroom window after launching it from 200 miles away...(grin)
When I make a mistake or do something ditzy, I always tell any witnesses that I never did things like that until I went blonde, and that before I became blonde I was a rocket scientist.
The people that designed (and launched?) the thing were given a very short time to hand over the landing responsibility
to the crew that was brought on board, just in time, to land the thing.
Obviously, not everything got handed over ...
Think like a rocket scientist: "It's only taxpayer money".
The most important thing you need to know about rocket science is that the pointy end goes up.
That's what Bill said to Monica...
