We arrived at the fair and found the alpaca :~)
And the kid :~)
Llama and Alpaca games were all over when we got there, but Kay will forward pictures to me tonight or tomorrow. As you can see above in the stall, Jessie & Charlie got several ribbons, a couple blue, couple red... couple other placings.
When it was time to go, we walked him out through the fair...
And Charlie thought the rides looked pretty interesting :~)
Arriving home :~)
The reunion with the other alpacas was a little bit suspicious and tense. Funny animals... lots of neck snaking and posturing and body language. :~)
A couple other cute pictures from the fair, one of the horse rows, and a baby pigmy goat that was using mom as a jungle gym.
Very cool, jm.... Welcome again :~) Excuse my funny looking horses in the post above. As you can see, we sometimes get sidetracked onto other critters, gardening, county fairs, you name it :~)
That pigmy goat is adorable.
I would love to have a pygmy goat or two... they’re so cute. and perhaps a couple alpacas too :~)
:) I can see it - your boarding stable is going to have a petting zoo too. One good thing about having animals like that, your horses become accustomed to them and don’t freak out when they see them out and about.
That’s why Bob got them originally... because he heard llamas were becoming very popular as hippy pack animals, and he didn’t want the horses to freak out if they saw one on trail.
Gosh... I hope we leave enough room for the paying customers ;~)
How'd that kid get up there in the first place?
He (and his brother) jumped up, and down, and up, and back down again. ;~) That part is easy for a goat :~)
How about some fainting goats? They seem much more entertaining.
Our horses handle llamas, goats, minis and camels. They aren’t real good about cows :)
I do admit... the fainting goats would be a gas :~)
That must be fun to watch, maybe not so much fun for Mama.
How about donkeys?
Oh I forgot those - donkeys across the street, mule at the end of the block.
Well, then, if you get a couple cows, you’d pretty much have it covered :~)
LOL - I need a couple of cows like I need a hole in the head. Unless they are in my freezer it’s not going to happen (I hope)
Baby goats are so cute.
It’s cool the way all the horses have their heads out and ears up. Synchronized horse heads:). From the looks of those heads, they were some nice horses.

LOL:)

Well the storms did finally hit last night, no tornados, but lots and lots of rain, and thunder and lightening. The local news is saying Bixby got 4 inches in just a few hours, and there is street flooding in town.
Altho our building has never had water in it the foundation was built up higher then the surrounding buildings, I’m a bit anxious for Mack to get down there and check. I’d say the hamburger place next door is highly likely to be flooded:(...
