“””””who flies to California and gets their hair done when their best friend...”””

Reason to believe that there may have been not one, but two sociopaths in Anna’s life.

I am beginning to believe that HK$’ motives were greed & humiliation and KE’s motives were resentment & envy of a “worthless” Anna.

That is a book I’d like to buy. Unfortunately for some people, by the time they figure out what their gut is trying to tell them, it’s too late.

” I will agree with you that he was definitely Anna’s lackey and she didn’t treat him very well. I believe he took it as long as he could, and then things happened that made him feel he’d had enough! . . . he was not going to have some man come in and ‘take it away from him’! Because, in his mind, he had ‘earned’ it and in some way, he had ‘earned’ the right to tell her what to do as well!”

I believe that HKS — as a good sociopath, was not concerned with what threatened his self-esteem. That’s not an operative concern for most sociopaths. They have none. They will go to any depth, degree, length of depravity if it affords them an improved measure of what they’re after - power (all forms) or money.

Sociopaths DO turn on things and people close to them who suddenly become threats to their survival. I believe that is exactly what ANS had become vis a vis HKS and his fears of Daniel’s inquest. I agree with another poster, ?sodpoddle, who pointed out that ANS in her excessively needy way probably confided her intend to “tell” about HKS to KE and that (exposure of HKS would lead, financially and drug-wise to KE and Wes).

IMO, ANS - despite her drugs, bipolar complications and history of misjudgements, was an overly trusting individual who wanted to believe in people. I think ANS had had it with HKS and was “in the dark” as to how much KE and HKS were in each other’s pockets.

ANS wanted a Mommy. She rejected Virgie as the “bad” mommy (even though there’s evidence she vascillated on that one, I believe KE and HKS kept the “split” going). KE exploitatively slipped into ANS’s need for a “good” maternal figure she could believe in. . . leading to a final, unfortunate and tragic misjudgement on ANS’s part.

Have you ever tried “Stitch Witchery”? It’s the lazy dressmakers’ way to hem using an iron instead of a sewing machine. Not so good for detailed work;)

Oooh. No haven't heard of it. I likes the concept tho. Do you think that it would stand up to something that gets moved around a lot (kitchen curtains)?

Good insight! As posters on these threads have often observed; from the day pregnant Anna set foot in the Bahamas, she became a hostage. Totally isolated and controlled by HK$ and KE. The fatal blow was Daniel’s death - if Anna had any lucid moments - she was unable to drive, write letters, email or telephone anyone for help. She was a drugged-up prisoner with a newborn. In reality -a Manchurian candidate!

Look in the notions or fabric section for StitchWitchery. It comes in packages of 1 or 2 rolls. Not very expensive. Beware of imitators.

Try it out on a sample of your fabric. It’s easy to correct errors - not good for seams, but is terrific for hems...especially on table cloths, pants and curtains.

Washable too! (no I don’t own stock)!

Do you have an “Anna’s Linens” store? They have decent merchandise for the home. If there isn’t a store near you, check out their website:

www.annaslinens.com

I had access to their store, and purchased an overstuffed feather comforter for 39.99. Except for the cover pilling, it was an excellent deal. They just opened one up here, but I haven’t had a chance to visit yet. I saw a very cute set of kitchen tiers with roosters. Beige with sage green gingham print trim. Check it out.

I think the formality custody deal is regarding the custody with Larry not anything to do with Virgie. Larry only has temporary custody now and she knows he will be getting full in June.

I wouldn’t know about rock concerts. LOLL My mother never let me attend them. I am usually good about checking stuff like that ( and hubby leaves it up to me) BUT I had to pee reallllllllllllly bad and was concentrating on making it to the bathroom. Drank two glasses of iced tea on the way (dodo me) and then took a shortcut road to SDC where there was no convenience stores THEN a longassed line on the road in the car up to the turnoff. I also thought the cars in line wouldn’t appreciate seeing my white butt on the side of the road. Told hubby to quit even talking about it and to not hit the road bumps so hard. LOLL

Prep for the May 22 inquest:

Transcript - CNN LARRY KING LIVE - Interview With Howard K. Stern    Aired September 26, 2006 - 21:00   ET

For ready access.  I was looking for a brief statement that included a video clip of HKS Geraldo made last night about HKS having to stay in the Bahamas for the inquest.  It was over before it registered and I can't find anything online about it.  Did anyone else catch it?

Hubby bought me a new sewing machine for Mothers Day yesterday. I have not had one since the kids were small so I am reading the in-strukshuns. The only reason I think he got it for me is because our lawn swing’s canopy bit the dust last fall in a storm. It fell against the chain link fence and was ripped. I wanted to put a sturdier top on it - like an aluminum or cedar but he didnt want to go to that much trouble and expense. Now I am going to be a sewing fool again for the grandkids. Maybe make an outfit or two for the yorkies. LOLLL

Oh give me a break! Hubby said she wouldn’t go to jail. IMO, the ONLY way she is going to learn IS to go to jail.

Yes, we have Annas Linens. Been there before. And i just checked their website. Problem is now i’m very particular about the fabrics and most of the cafe curtains i’ve seen are either a solid color (which i don’t want) or are white/beige with roosters or strawberries on them (which i don’t want). If i weren’t so picky about this, there are some choices out there.

But someone came over a couple weeks ago to give me an estimate and an educated opinion and she said my wall color is too bright yellow for any white or off white colored curtains. I think she is right about that. You’d have to see the kitchen to understand why. It’s very nice and really needs a color with a nice floral (or stripe if push comes to shove).

Just got back from the fabric stores and they’re not open yet. Shoulda checked the phone book first!

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate all the advice you guys are offering.

Blue & white goes good with yellow—especially in french inspired kitchens.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss.

"Does it make you sad to talk about your dad?" I'd say: "No, it makes my happy. He was just so wonderful". Now, she will understand.

You can not believe how much that helped me. My father died last year and my brother died in January. My mother is in failing health and I am not dealing with any of it very well. I will keep your words in mind. Prayers sent to you and your family.

i believe i read earlier on that HKS and KE mite of had a “thing” going. Maybe they just had to get rid of ANS and live off her money?
