Anybody want to wager no inquest starts tomorrow? I will.
But will be following here tomorrow to find out - in worklurk mode. I hope all of you who are watching events unfold have something to post about!
As for the inquest itself...I think it will be "closed" by a gag order BUT Howard will give Anna's "phoney, lying statement to the police" to ET.
Remember, Anna had "a memory loss" of the event according to Howard. Could that be because he drugged her and got her out of the hospital almost immediately....before the media got there according to him.
Her police statement is going to be as phoney as a $3 bill and that's all the jury will hear.
Remember, too, that little video where Howard said: "Do you think Anna would protect me if I had killed Danny?" I always said that the clip was shown "accidently".
I also thought it was the inquest.

Well, you’re right. I had been thinking all the news stories over the past month that said the inquest “would convene” again on May 22 really meant that the jury would be seated and the process would start.
But when I looked at my notes from April 12th, they seem somewhat ambiguous. Maybe it’s just the journalist’s wording that is throwing me off.
Here is a snippet of the last word I had on it:

“ ... Mr. Lyons was on the verge of tossing Mr. Stern’s constitutional challenge of the Coroners Act on Thursday morning because no lawyer had shown up for him when Wayne Munroe, one of Mr. Stern’s team of lawyers, showed up.
Mr. Stern was reportedly the only other person in the room with Ms. Smith when Daniel Smith died, and Mr. Gomez has said that his testimony now becomes vital to the proceedings.
Mr. Lyons gave the parties involved about a month to prepare their submissions and affidavits, and then on May 22 the parties will meet to set a date for the application to be heard.
In that time, he said, he would also try to see the actual interview Mr. Gomez gave.

It seems the inquest itself is “held” or “stayed” until the application for the voir dire questionnaire is presented in a hearing, tentatively scheduled for tomorrow, May 22 - and that the hearing itself is just for setting a future date for another hearing.
However, that’s assuming Gomez is still in charge - there is also the complaint before the court (I think) that he should be recused.
Do y’all know anything more than this? I’m “up to here” in going over old ANS stuff to have the Case Name List ready for tomorrow morning and it’s putting me to sleep. I’d like to have a couple more days, so I can sleep tonight without worrying about it. It *looks* like I am probably OK on this.

Can you tell us anything more about the time between May 2005 and when he died in Aug 2006? I’m curious about Stubbs being the main H&K person, but Ross being the ultimate obstacle.

That “accidentally on purpose” clip was so strange. It was right after ANS’s funeral and Stern was seated in a chair with the ocean behind him.
We were supposed to think he was in a “safehouse” or in the living room or sitting room of his “own” home at Horizons. What was so odd was that he was answering questions from someone sitting in another similar chair in the same room - and depending on which show you watched, ET or The Insider, they would cut back to the other person and it was either Mark Steines, if it was ET, or it was Pat O’Brien, if it was The Insider.
I always wondered if they were both there at the same time, or if those shots were done separately at another time, lol. It was just so odd.
Anyway, it turned out later they did some other interviews at that big mansion where the funeral reception was held and it was that same room!
I wish it had been Seidlin or O’Quinn or someone sarcastic who had been sitting opposite Stern when he said that! “Well, yes, Howie, Anna was so doped up she would’ve stayed with Virgie, if that’s who was waiting on her hand and foot like you did!”
My hope is that whenever the real inquest really does start, that we will all be pleasantly surprised at the depth and breadth of the investigation and at the answers that have been there waiting to be discovered.
I had planned to not watch these showbiz tab TV shows anymore now, but accidentally watched Inside Edition today - creature of habit that I am.
Donna Hogan was on in a melodramatic scene where she and her children (or so they said, I didn’t see any children) had gone to The Bahamas to go to Anna’s and Daniel’s graves and pay their respects.
She was at the gate at the Lakeview Cemetery and throwing a fit because they wouldn’t let her in. She had some “Yellow Roses of Texas” to put on the graves, but was arguing with a Bahamian woman who was guarding the gate.
The guard said there is a list that “Mr Stern” gave them of only 3 people who are approved to come on the premises - “the Mommy, the Daddy and the little girl.” In other words, Virgie, Larry and Dannielynn.
(I’m glad the voiceover explained that because I figured if HKS gave them the names, it must mean Gerlene, Howie and Dannielynn, lol.)
Donna made such a fuss, crying and arguing, that a supervisor came out to see what the problem was. (Obviously an ANS relative at the gate, who else?) For some reason, the super took pity on Donna, remarking that she looked like ANS, and they let her go in, alone.
What struck her was that HKS brings pink roses to ANS’s still-unmarked grave, but there were none on Daniel’s grave. That made me sad.
She said she took a wilted pink rose petal to keep as a reminder that she had been there.
The film festival is still going on in Cannes - I think this weekend is the wrap-up, so the “starz” are still there all this week.
The ANS stuff was earlier (her silly movie and that dreadful Willa thing), when the “little stuff” gets shown and talked about, if at all - then they make way for the heavyweights.
IOW, there’s no reason for HKS to still be there, so he should show up for his pleading tomorrow. But he didn’t last time, so let’s see what happens.
One of the worst things I’ve seen is that Art Harris BS that I accidentally linked to when he first started “reporting” on the will and the estate of ANS.
It’s The Bahamas portion of the estate which is just unbelievable - he says that HKS or Rale or Ross, whoever is doing it - is claiming both the Horizons house and the Coral Harbour house as assets!
It’s just the opposite of what they did in CA, where they underestimated, for US tax purposes! Here, they’re loading on property they don’t even own and haven’t ever paid for - not a dime on Horizons and nothing after the small down on the pink house, so it was foreclosed on. Clothes, jewelry, cash and the boat are all supposed to be included.
You see, that makes HKS in charge of “considerable resources” on the Island, so he’s a “big man.” Poor G Ben Thompson, who has owned several homes there and spent time there through the years, as has Ford and all their family, has to put up a bond for the Horizons house writ, just because he doesn’t have substantial holdings on the Island.
But HKS is there puffing up what ANS had, so he can make himself more important than a real businessman!
ANS fans are also going to be upset when they find that the houses aren’t in the estate - it will be like they were just taken away from baby Dannielynn - when they were never hers to begin with!
Someday, that little girl will ask a lot of questions.
In all this, I feel so sorry for Danny. What a crap life he must have had with a r** for a mother. Without a doubt, I'm certain his happiest days were with Virgie.
And may Howard and KE rot in hell!!
Even though I don’t care for Donna Hogan - am glad she got through to visit the graves. Am sorry too that Daniel’s grave had no flowers. At one time, LB put flowers on it and Virgie thanked him. Oh to have that kind relationship restored.

Larry took some pictures at the Derby. And I’m irked at him about the Virgie situation but I have to defend him on this. After the initial pictures in Hello and his deal with Accesshollywood we haven’t seen or heard from him.
Looks like whatever happened today, if anything, wasn’t important enough to be announced. A tmz poster in Nassau went down to the courthouse to see what was happening and said she saw nothing.
She’s going to watch their local news tonight and maybe call the newspaper tomorrow, just to see if there was a meeting or hearing on the inquest.
Her comment is that all is very quiet on all fronts.
Well, it looks like the ET-HKS-TI anti-Virgie spin machine was all geared up for war today.
There was a teaser on The Insider (which means there will probably be a bit more on ET tonight) saying that they will have the “bombshell that no one else has” in the Anna Nicole saga ...
Then they cut to a video snippet of Donnie Hart Jr. in prison garb, behind bars. “We ask Anna Nicole’s brother the question everyone wants answered.” Quick snip of ANS video from ET (the Mommie Dearest” rant) where she says “my mother, my father, my brother” ... “beat me, raped me ...”
They ask him “did you rape your sister, Anna Nicole Smith?” Of course, they cut away before he answered and said “that’s tomorrow on The Insider.” “We’ll talk with ANS’s imprisoned brother behind bars.”
Then they had some audio of Hart speaking of growing up with Virgie and how bad it was, while showing an old photo of the family. “More on that tomorrow.”
