Actually to me, her reality show was boring (and just plain sad) because in the little bit I saw, all she did was whine and complain! But even in the little I saw of the show, I immediately caught onto to how HKS managed to ‘stay in the background’ and YET ‘still run the show’!! I’ve been suspicious and have been watching him EVER SINCE. Also, in Anna’s defense, she HERSELF told the media, that she DID NOT WEAR HER WEDDING DRESS to the funeral for J. Howard Marshall. She stated that she purposely wore WHITE instead of BLACK to honor all of the good times they had together, and she indicated that J. Howard Marshall would have wanted it that way. And when I saw pictures from J. Howard’s funeral, I did not think she was wearing a wedding dress!
As far as your question about where Virgie was during the times that Anna was obviously out of control, I have no idea. I agree with you that it is disturbing that Virgie didn’t even try to rescue Anna and Daniel earlier, AND I DON’T necessarily understand it, but I haven’t had a chance to hear an explanation from Vergie yet. Even though no explanation from Vergie will exonerate her from all blame, I do tend to be forgiving to a parent in that situation bc I’m familiar with the pain that comes with it. Backing away doesn’t always mean you do not love your child.
Virgie couldn’t touch DL because of DNA? What on earth was Howard talking about? What did he think would happen?
ya know, I have a theory, that Anna wasn't doing as much drugs as was portrayed to the press before or during her pregnancy, just based on what the Shelleys and Coens and others have said, and we still have a lack of any physical evidence of 'detox' from Apr 06.
I think she was finally running away from Los Angeles - with her son's encouragement and the Shelley's support. With Daniel's move to the Bahamas and taking over as her manager, HK would have been out of the daily picture and the video-ed appearances that were orchestrated to have resulted in loss of custody if she had lived, wouldn't have happened. Things would have been a lot different if HK hadn't shown up in the Bahamas.
I don't think that Daniel would have let his mom take drugs, and Anna did raise him to be a fine young man. I think Daniel wouldn't have let Anna be hounded to death by her old 'crew' of hangers-on, either. And the custody battle would have run out of steam and got back to a 'normal' level of Daddy visitation and child support.
Daniel was the only one in Anna's life who wanted nothing from her, and she trusted him enough to always do the right thing' even when she thought he had 'changed' she didn't change her will. I'd like to think, that, approaching 40, Anna had decided to turn over a new leaf, and raise her baby with Daniel running interference for a while, and Grandma Virgie cuddling with her grandbaby on visits in between LB's visits.

Second time: before burial - saw the baby per the judge - was allowed to stand at the foot of the bed and couldn’t touch her .
well, that's another lie HK's been caught in - he said it wasn't a 'court order' and now we learn, it sure was! A Bahamian judge's order!
I sure liked Virgie's comment - (to HK:) I'm comin'.....you thought I'd get disinterested, but...I'm comin'.....

great job on transcribing !!!! all i can add, is that she said she gave Spash 50-100 photos of Daniel/Anna way before Daniel’s death and got (only) $5,000
also, she said that she would have raised the baby if she had to (which i think she means, that if LB had turned out not to be daddy, she would have gotten that baby away from HK)

I think that it was a good idea for Virgie to suggest that her son, the secret agent man, be a guardian. Let’s see the HK try to take HIM on (that is if he doesn’t choke on a crow bone first !)

it was sad, to hear her say, that she kept trying to call Anna, and whoever answered the phone would never put her thru and she would have to talk to 'them' to see how her daughter was doing. So i guess there's truth in what Daniel was saying, also, that he couldn't get thru to his own mom. I wonder if Anna ever found out how hard they both tried?
I remember LB saying that Anna had sent him an email, 'i want my mommy' when she was preggers. So sad that they were kept from communicating.
she might have used a better example of, say, wanting to buy certain stock, etc. But I think if you look at it in the context of statements that HK has made about 'not expecting to not be' in DL's life, and the relative short longevity of those around HK, she's probably doubting that LB will live long, either. And I'd bet she's also a little concerned already about what 'fame and fortune' will do -- I dont' think any one of us, would like to see DannielynnJonBenet, for instance.
Its' obvious she has a cops' instinct that there is something HUGE that HK is holding over LB. And all the more reason for us to speculate, so it's out there, and is subjected to public scrutiny, instead of letting HK use his dirty little secrets for blackmail and remain connected to DL. IF LB continues his assn with HK, we can be almost certain, it's something big enough to affect custody. Let's hope they part ways very soon and prove speculation wrong. IMO
I figured you were renting. Our carpet is indoor/outdoor, but we don't have a vacuum. My son uses a corn broom to sweep out the house. He has bad hayfever periodically, and I have bronchitis when I get stressed. Someone mentioned an Ionic Breeze air filter, and I want one. Too bad they're so darn expensive.
Our newly discovered problem is that there is water getting into the bedroom wall from the bath tub. The caulk looks fine, but no matter what we do, we can't get the shower curtain to keep the water inside the tub, and not all over the floor. It's causing black mold in my son's room. If I can find out how to solve the problem, we'll either have to rip out the drywall and replace, use a heat gun to thoroughly dry out the wall, then bleach it. People say to add pure vanilla to the paint to retard future mold. I'm allergic to mold :/
I won't cry about money after I read what you live on. We've touched on this before, but can the local churches/Salvation Army help out with food, etc?

well, in all fairness to Anna, she did work for a living for 8 years before she met J. Howard, and another 4 or 5 years as Playboy Centerfold/Covergirl, Guess?jeans covergirl, H&M (clothing label) cover girl in Germany/Europe and Lane Bryant. IMO Her 'grifting days' didnt' come until HK painted rainbows of half a billion. Then, everything was on credit, 'until the judgement comes in'. HK must have fed Anna a pretty thick line, time after time, year after year, to keep himself around, because Anna always seemed to think, that money was coming in "any day now...."

I noticed the earlier comment about women becoming hooked on Meth faster than men.
Meth is devastating. Men going up against an addict better be very careful, as Meth destroys your brain. It can turn a person into a psychopath. Ask my bf. His ex’s addiction cost him his home, his kids, and his good name. His sister paid to have that warthog go through an expensive detox facility. She decided she wanted the house when she was released, obviously not cured. He had already filed for divorce and custody, being fed up with filing missing person reports, her druggie friends trashing the house, stealing everything to buy drugs, etc.
To get the house, she needed custody of the kids. Guess what she accused him of? When they couldn’t force his little girls to admit to something that didn’t happen, warthog got a friend’s(druggie who killed herself and another daughter driving under the influence)13 yr old ho of a daughter to lie. I have absolutely no respect for lawyers and the court system. He blew through 20k trying to defend himself, then when the money ran out, his POS attorney told him to plead no contest. Which the court does not differentiate from a guilty plea.
Oh yeah. The bank got the house, because druggies can’t hold down jobs or pay mortgages. She has custody of the kids and they are a mess. The girls are trainwrecks. The oldest(18)idolizes Marilyn Monroe. She took my son for a nice emotional roller coaster ride.
I believe in legalizing anything the good Lord gave us, but meth cookers need Turkish prison!!!

Yes, but I’m not so certain it’s ever been a matter of choice. Since the beginning, HKS had been able to ‘lord’ custody of DL over LB’s head, otherwise, I think he’d have told HKS where to shove it a long time ago, and I think that LB throughout this time, did everything he needed to do to make certain DL would eventually be his. I think in youthful ignorance and emotional desparation, he would have sold his soul if that’s what it took and I think that’s why Opri parted ways, I think she (as did Virgie) couldn’t convince LB to take a step backward and not to fall for whatever power he must have thought HKS weilded over him (and DL). I think this was their “difference in strategy”. I am just hopeful that whatever has been keeping him tied to HKS, will, now that he’s back in the states and out of Bahamian jurisdiction, allow LB to be empowered and do just that. I would be thrilled to see him side by side with Virgie again.
