“under $3000 all.”
Not for those three monitors! If it’s an Apple, then I’d guess probably about a $12,000 setup today; considerably more just six months ago with those LCD’s.
They’re apple 30 inch Cinema Displays (like the one I’m using now...) I imagine Al can get quite all the Apple equipment he wants since he’s a director there.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Must have taken a LOT of trees to help create that mess.
22 inch at MicroCenters. Solid buy. Chimei CMV 221D. On sale $250.
It’s OK... Those aren’t real monitors. They’re the fake ones they use at furniture stores. (It’s not like Al can actually read!)
This is our “homebound” quadroplegic version.
Wireless and able to veiw from bed or wheelchair.
How does his eyes able to handle sitting that close.
Does he have vision problems?
What is your Freeper handle?
That is his “my space” cam. : )
What is that poster of above his tv monitor behind him?
Looks like a cartoon of some sort of super hero.
Those are a good deal, I’m very tempted. But, then, with three of those, I’d only have half the number of pixels as Gore. That just wouldn’t do; I’m the profligate, earth-hating conservative, here!
Wireless? Nice setup. Wouldn’t be too expensive to put together.
Computer monitors are a whole different class of monitor, though. A much higher resolution is required. Means $$$.
Fun with Al Gore and CNN.
Al Gore will be on Larry King tomorrow. They are asking for questions from viewers to ask him. Go to this website and you can leave a question. Here’s mine, it might be fun if they got dozens of them. Of course, they won’t ask him this, but someone might just give it some thought.
E-mail your questions for Al Gore
Why did you sell one of the few Oil reserves at Elk Hills Calif under the Clinton administration to your fellow stock holders at Occidental Oil? We could use that oil now, and what did you do to improve the environment in 8 years as VP?
Al Gore: The Other Oil Candidate
by Bill Mesler, Special to CorpWatch
August 29th, 2000
For thousands of years, the Kitanemuk Indians made their home in the Elk Hills of central California. Come February 2001, the last of the 100 burial grounds, holy places and other archaeological sites of the Kitanemuks will be obliterated by the oil drilling of Occidental Petroleum Company. Oxy’s plans will “destroy forever the evidence that we once existed on this land,” according to Dee Dominguez, a Kitanemuk whose great grandfather was a signatory to the 1851 treaty that surrendered the Elk Hills.
Occidental’s planned drilling of the Elk Hills doesn’t only threaten the memory of the Kitanemuk. Environmentalists say a rare species of fox, lizard and the kangaroo rat would also be threatened by Oxy’s plans. A lawsuit has been filed under the Endangered Species Act. But none of that has given pause to Occidental or the politician who helped engineer the sale of the drilling rights to the federally-owned Elk Hills. That politician is Al Gore.[snip]
It is a large brightly colored tree frog.
Notice the wastepaper can is completely empty. I guess when you have consensus, you’re never wrong about anything.
It is not the monitor setup that looks staged. I have something similar myself. What looks staged is the placement of books and whatnot on the desk and tables. It does not have a natural randomness to it. Trust me....I know a messy office.
"D@mn those Freepers and their constant sardonic mocking of me while I bilk the American Taxpayers out of billions through my Global Warming sham!"
"Hmmm...Accuweather says there's another snowstorm coming and I've got a $100K Global Warming speaking engagement that Friday! How odd for Hawaii in May!"
(I've got a million of 'em, but I'll shut up now. What a total dork this guy is.)
I think I have to leave my cube before someone asks why I’m crying...
My eyes! My eyes! LOL!
I think Gore needs to turn of the computer and open his mail.
Sheeeesh and some whine about some of us who hang out at FR too much.
