This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

The foal started nursing because the twins kept 'railroading' her to momma's udders. It was funny to watch.
Baby has sorrel ears ,a sorrel heart between her ears, and freckles on her butt.PHEW!!! No lethal white. OH...she has a blue eye and a brown one.
BTW...I have to get to Wal-Mart for a new scanner so I can send pix.
Another try of a video. This was CJ yesterday, learning that a saddle won’t kill her. She’s a lot like her grandmother, Farah. No bucking or refusing, just a lot of tail swishing when she’s unhappy. Hope she stays that way when someone gets on her back the first time.

Hopefully this afternoon, I’ll figure out the camera program well enough to resize pictures and figure out how to download them and post them also. I’m sorry you guys get to be my guinea pigs but thanks. :)
Wow, baby sounds beautiful. I can’t wait for pictures of her. Any name yet? I’m glad everything worked out.
I think your hills and hollers are a real treat for anyone. I love seeing the pictures of your rides and am always astonished that your horses do so well with the trails you take.

Phew....97, I’ve turned into a real wuss...I can’t do that kind of heat anymore.
I’m in town to surf a bit:), to check to see what everyone was doing...I finally got my computer hooked to the DSL we had down here. Still a few glitches, but I can get it to work. I hadn’t been here 10 minutes when I heard suspicious noises behind my building. There is a narrow alleyway/sidewalk between my building an the restaurant next door. Went out to see what was up, and caught three boys back there on bikes...one had already climbed up the GAS LINE PIPE...grrrrr...and was on the roof of the restaurant. The look on their faces when I came around the corner was priceless:). Downtown is soooo empty on Sunday, there is no telling what goes on down here...it will be interesting to find out:)

CJ looks like she’s been rolled in powdered sugar. She’s gorgeous!
I’m assuming you took the pics of CJ on your camera and the show pics on Bob’s. Yours are so much clearer. Bob’s look like the lense is either fogged or dirty. Mine got that way one time and it turned out I had a big greasy fingerprint all over the lense. It cleared right up when I cleaned it.
That baby’s gonna be cute with those little sorrel ears. Does that make her a Medicine Hat paint?
I like to give my foaling mares a shot of occytocin after I’ve made sure the baby is ok and has nursed. Even if it looks like they’ve passed all the afterbirth I just like to make sure they’ve cleaned it all out. It doesn’t hurt them, just makes them lay down and have some more contractions for a while. Plus, I think occytocin is the “bonding” hormone, so it helps with that too.
I love to watch people, it’s great fun and really eye opening. Just imagine all you’ll see being downtown 24/7 :)

I’ve seen that in NC but I can’t remember what it is or whether it’s the one that has a watermelon type fruit or not. It’s beautiful.

Janelle is going to take Tuffy on a partnership. She's checking with some of the ApHC trainers on how much money and time for them to campaign him until he gets his ROM. I hope she can do it.

The horses ALL look great... CJ’s always interesting, of course, but I think Josie is really pretty too! How’d they do at the who? Is that a fourth on Josie?
I hope the new home for Bam Bam works out good, and it sounds like a neat deal with Janelle... good ne3w all the way around.
We had a good day at the beach... hot here too. But it’s not 97.

Becky... what were the boys doing on the roof? I'd just think it'd be hotter than heck up there on a day like that.
