Owen Wilson hospitalized (alleged attempted suicide)

Actor Owen Wilson was taken to a hospital in Santa Monica, Calif., Sunday, according to a story Drudge Report linked to on Sunday.

According to the report, Wilson was transported to St. John's Hospital. Citing sources, The National Enquirer and Star magazine said the star of "Wedding Crashers" and "Starsky & Hutch" had cut his left wrist and taken an undetermined amount of pills.

He was found by a family member who called for help.

Santa Monica police confirmed only that the actor had been taken to a hospital, TMZ.com reported.

"On Sunday Aug. 26. 2007 at 12:10 pm officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department," the police said in a news release. "The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated."

Citing medical privacy laws, the police did not release any further information.

The Enquirer said Wilson's wrist was stitched and bandaged at the hospital, and that Wilson would "be detoxed."

I loved Starksy & Hutch and Night at the Museum.

I would sure hate to see him go.

Him and Stiller are funny.

I’m watching “Behind Enemy Lines” right now and my mom and I are not too enlightened with this war. Was the mass graves full of Muslims or Christians? Who killed them?

Just this last week I re-watched The Wedding Crashers. The movie was a bit raunchy and juvenile in the humor department (and maybe that’s why I liked it :),) but at its heart it was a romantic comedy with a rather sweet ending.

It strikes me now, that at one point in the movie, Wilson’s character is depressed about losing the girl he loves. The Vince Vaughn character comes by to find Wilson’s character in pajamas, unshaven, disheveled, his house a pig sty and Wilson says, “I'm hanging by a thread. I'm reading don't-kill-myself books.” Life imitating art? He recently broke up with Kate Hudson, who ended her marriage to Chris Robinson of the rock band Black Crows after meeting Wilson on a movie set (I think it was “You, Me and Dupree”?)

I really hope he recovers from whatever personal demons took him to such a dark, lonely and hopeless place and I know that won’t be easy.

I went to that place once. It’s not somewhere I ever want to visit again and I wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone.

Will Ferrell are all hilarious.

I thought that SNL was perfect for Will Ferrell. It seems that for the most part, I can only stand him for about 5 minutes at a time. I actually sat through Bewitched, but was squirming pretty quickly. It's amazing what I'll do for a girlfriend!

Seriously, I did like him a lot in "Stranger than Fiction." He toned his act WAY down.

The Royal Tenenbaums was a masterpiece. He co-wrote it, too.

"I'm an actor! I've got ALL the emotions." -- Goldie Hawn,
"First Wives Club."

Ironic you should use a line via Goldie Hawn.
Early speculation is that Owen may have been despondent over
his recent split with Hawn's daughter, Kate Hudson.

Six years ago he spent some detox time in Hazelton. He probably relapsed.

I saw it years ago when it came out in the theaters but have forgotten too much about it to say.

As an aside — the finale of “The Bronx is Burning” comes on tonight.

I hear you. Not even your worst enemy.

Whatever it is I hope he gets through it.

I adore him...he is so cute and quirky.

Everyone wants to be wealthy and famous, but the wealthy and famous don’t seem very happy.

“It’s hard to dislike the guy. I know he donated money to Hillary Clinton but he, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Will Ferrell are all hilarious. I enjoy every movie he’s in.”

Isn’t he also the perfect ex-boyfriend in the Focker movies?

I didn’t see that movie, but that part of the world had mass graves dug for all the different groups.
If this was about the most recent conflicts I think it was the muslims that took the hardest hit.

I have missed so much of The Bronx is Burning that I am thinking of just renting the DVD if they have it. I would like to see that without all those dam commercials. Tonight is massacre night anyway for the Yankee/Boston game!

I did some Googling last night and read up on it. It was Muslim men that were in the graves. Should I be sad?

What is that thing on his nose?

His nose.

It is one of the things I really like about him. He looks like himself rather then some cookie cutter pretty boy stamped out in a factory somewhere.

I swear every one in Hollywood goes to the same plastic surgeon because they all have the exact same nose.
