I heard it on America’s Newsroom Fox’s program on in the morning between 9 & 11 am EST yesterday. Megyn Kelly did the story. There’s a link to a video of her interviewing the mother of the dead child. I don’t know if it will have all of what was on yesterday’s show. Megyn then talked to 2 lawyers about why the DA couldn’t go after the hoax family. There was talk of charging them with a misdemeanor of harassment, a civil suit and that the DA should dismiss out of hand the hoax charges against the grieving family for destroying the ping-pong table. http://www.foxnews.com/americasnewsroom/index.html

This is absolutely infuriating. If this was my kid, you’d hear about me on the news. The adults involved are pure evil. Satan will have a special place in hell for them when they die.

In the meantime, I don’t know why the parents won’t pursue a wrongful death lawsuit. It won’t bring their daughter back but a big fat judgment against these pieces of crap parents would send a message to the next losers who think of doing such a thing.

We have had the cyber crimes unit of the state police at our school and parish a couple of time. I would not be surprised if some of this activity was not a crime.

I think the gist of it is that a mother, daughter and a temp worker created a fake myspace account in the persona of a “cute boy” to lure in and harass a neighbor girl who had problems with depression until the neighbor girl hung herself. The police can’t figure out any criminal charges to fit such an account, so the three got away without so much as a slap on the wrist.

The immaturity of the adults, all involved, is astounding. There’s the horrific immaturity of the parents of the so-called friend of the poor girl, then there’s the poor girl’s own parents whose reaction was to tear up the foosball table and dump it on the other family’s lawn.
