I'm getting something of a chuckle out of reading all the Chicken Little "WOE IS US" posts over the primary election results from yesterday. Why? Simple. Because the one viable conservative candidate with the best chance of winning in the General Election is in a better position than ever.
In case you haven't noticed, Mitt Romney now has more delegates than all the other candidates put together. McCain's win in South Carolina has hurt Mike Huckabee bigtime. However, McCain will be much easier to defeat in the primaries in the long run than the Huckster which is good news.
And to all you Fred Thompson supporters. Now is the time to face reality and support the remaining viable conservative candidate---Mitt Romney. Romney is now in the best positition to harvest a big delegate count on Super Tuesday because of his superior organization and finances. Ultimately, McCain will lose out to Mitt.
With Hillary as the Democrat nominee running against Mitt in the General Election, Mitt wins. Why? Because I GUARANTEE one or more third party candidates (think Bloomy and Ralph and even Dennis) running because of leftwing disgust with Hillary. And guess who that draws votes from.
But don't take my word for this. I am sure Rush will put things into proper perspective on his show tomorrow.
But MR is not a conservative. So who are you talking about?
So what exactly is the delegate count?
‘Heck no, I won’t go!’ I won’t give up on Fred unless HE chooses to bow out.
Do you have an inside track on what Rush is going to say on his show tomorrow?
Mitt is a NorthEastern Republican and all they can do is eat cheese, drink wine, take photo-ops and lose big Elections and now with Duncan Hunter out, I am out too.
Let whoever wins this run the nation into the ground.
Rush will set all your minds right tomorrow. It will be an UPBEAT show.
Ummm...In Mitt's case you can leave the wine part out. However, the rest of us can drink champagne at his inaugural party exactly one year from today!
Mitt is going to lose and the will be smeared by the Democrats and the Press so bad that not even a Mormon will vote for him, trust me I know these people.
Romney’s got my vote.
The Free Republic has been over run by Kennedy wing of the Republican party. And they feel great!
Unfortunately even a lot of Freepers are smearing Mitt over the Mormon thing. Hopefully this will soon STOP.
Mitt Romney has he highest negatives of ANY Republican candidate and that includes the despicable Mike Huckleby.

I am starting believe that the nominee will be McCain. That is not all bad. He is almost a sure shot to beat Hillary in the general and a McCain/Thompson ticket is unstoppable.
Mitt is a little too much like Clinton - hard to pin down on a position.

Well said. Now that Hunter’s out, I’ll follow Thompson til he flames out, then I’ll most likely vote for Paul in Nov after he goes 3rd party.
Rush sold out, we had a real Conservative in the race name Duncan Hunter and Rush would not even back him. I am pissed at Rush.
NEWSFLASH!!! Rush does NOT endorse Republican primary candidates. As to him selling out, I've been hearing that for years. The FUnniest is when Rush talks about golf or football or just jokes around and someone will call him up and accuse him of "selling out" because he is on those topics.
That should go well with the Kool Aid you're already enjoying.
