nothing like a tornado....went to college in Miami was was in a hurricane....( David)....cat1 storm but man did it rain
I'm so sorry.... I just finally got out of WF 2 years ago. Thankfully am back home again 200 miles further south.
Cat 1 are only kind of hurricane you want to get.....but the rains will be the big story....
I’ve been outta Texas since 90 .....left Ca to move to Phoenix but actually I’m from Iowa Park
Pinch me, Flash is leading.
“Mutt” is now in 4th....
I taught at VRJC for 4 years. Enjoyed it tremendously but was very homesick. Had family from up that way so I figured I’d like it fine. But, I missed to real home ground so I came back. Loved the job up there though.
Vernon ? and brother do I miss home too.....my plan is to get back in 2 yrs and build a golf coure off the 287 in Iowa Park
Our last 500 year flood was triggered by a tropical storm. Went all the way across the state and came back.
LOL! Maybe I am a genius...
make that 2nd place, wow “Mutt” did not shove Dale Jr. this time....a lot of racin’ left....
Shrub seem to give Jr. the wide berth just now.
TS Allison of 2001?
I taught at one of the campuses in WF. Oddly enough even though the main campus is in Vernon, 80% of the students are on the 3 campuses in WF. Lots of nice folks up in Iowa Park. Nice to find out I can add you to that list. One of the best Harley shops in the country up there too. Those are some nice folks.
in Decatur in like 83 there was a storm that sat on the area for 9 days.........30 ft pecan trees were under water
.. I drove a 78 T Bird off a 21 ft bridge....almost died
wow, the Big Man upstairs sure did look after you that day....
100 to go
We were wet, but everything to the north of us was under.
my family had an auto parts store in vernon, holliday and IP for 39 yrs....The Gilmores owned the harley store...Red River Harley and I’m wearing the hat as I type
“Mutt” returns to 1st place....
you should hear that story....10 days in the hospital and well......it was unbelievable....if I told ya a few things, you would swear I’m a liar
THAT is living on the edge!
we’ll see on the money lap...
Been here all along though. :-)))
Thank God things went well for you(lived to tell the tale).....painful I bet.....
end of 3td quarter
Yeller - trash on track
Caution for debris on the back stretch...
After all these years that is still one of the nicest bunch of folks at a harley shop. Around this neck of the woods the dealerships have really gone downhill in the last 10-12 years. But, IP still is downhome friendly. Friend of mine from McGregor, TX (14 miles west of Waco) used to go to Red River to buy his new bikes just cause of their reputation and service. That was back in the late 80’s through 90’s.
Busy pit road, everyone in now.
remember the 78 TBird ?
long and sleek and they had a chrome molding on the roof mid post to mid post......that car was ripped in two on the molding like a big guy rippin a phone book
IP just voted to still not sell alcohol in the town while Burk voted to sell booze
Tork has his big #75 BD next Thursday. Please send all cards, cakes and gifts to Glocks House for HazMat screening, explosive removals and death threats shredded. My son is 50 tomorrow but that’s no reason to ignore me...
"The men who really believe in themselves are all in lunatic asylums."
- GK Chesterton
I think I’d count my blessings every time I saw another one!
oh well, what I was going to send would never make it past Glock’s screening, so I might as well keep it here.
Make it on one more gas stop I think.
Ya gotta love the nascar thread - all this fun and a Chesterton quote
oh I do....I’m 52 now and was 27 when it happened....ribs finally healed.......lol
Mine was on the 1st, and I still haven’t gotten your stuff yet
I sent you 50 lbs. of bacon to Gr’s house
I think he ate it.
My brother just turned 50 this week. I told him he was so-o-o-o-o-o-o old.
That was a pretty good hit into the wall by Kyle Busch. Kept on going like nothing happened.
three quarters of a century?
I had no idee!
Uh, you plan on growing up any time soon?
wouldn’t you ?
Yep, how much fun CAN YOU HAVE? :-)
He must have his “invincible” package set up real good.
