You thought that horses wouldn't remind me of a boring story but............ surprise... surprise... surprise.
When I was about 12 or 13, I had to plow in the field with a mule. At the end of the day, when the time came to go to the barn and eat, the mule would pick up speed as I plowed the row going toward the barn. When I made him turn to plow another row, he would plod along until we, once again, turned back toward the barn then he would, once again, shift into high gear.
I plowed one year using a horse but I preferred the mule. A horse has to go too fast in order to pull the plow and it is easier for a kid to get a broken rib if the plow hits a root. A mule can pull the plow just walking along slow and easy. Except for the danger when hooking the trace chains to the single tree (mules will kick), mules are better for old men and kids.

You are going to love this camera! I have a Canon PowerShot A720, which is basically like yours. I went to
Steve's Digicam Website and read the review on yours. Sounds like it is a good little camera. Canon makes good digital cameras for the amateur market. I love mine.
Yes, usually the memory card that comes with the camera is pretty small. If you shoot on the highest resolution (which isn't necessary, but I do), you can usually only get a few shots on a the card before it is full. My husband got two 2 GB cards for me. I would have a hard time ever filling those up. I also found that investing in rechargeable batteries and a charger really helps save money on batteries.
Have fun with your new camera, jaycee!

Sorry it didnt work. These ants used to crawl... That's because, at some point, the graphic was saved as a .jpg. In order for an image to be animated it needs to be in a .gif format. ;-)
Have a good day, jaycee. HUGS!

Thank you, Conor. Psalm 139 told me everything I needed to know about being pro-life. You are probably familiar with that Psalm...it is a favorite of mine.

That is a such a dramatic image and a powerful message in your poem, FH. Lord God, please protect the innocent unborn and turn men's hearts away from the horror of abortion.
I can't take credit for the graphic, Amy. You posted the original image you sent me. It didn't need anything at all done to it anyway. It is perfect as it is. :-)

I’m starting at the beginning today - don’t know how far I’ll get. Love the yellow wildflowers. Would love to have a whole field of wildflowers, but hubby calls them ‘weeds’ and wants only grass to grow there. :(

You would not believe how I wrestled with this poem, not writing it but posting it. I realize the abortion issue is a touchy issue and has been known to raise ire on both sides. I was thinking that maybe I don't need to be posting something that may cause anguish with some people.
But then I thought, it's my poem, my thoughts, and my convictions, and I believe in my heart that God would approve. I've decided that if this poem offends anyone, let them work it out with their conscience and with their God.

I believe in my heart that God would approve. I believe you are right. I suppose it is possible that a few may disagree, but I doubt that there are any here who will be offended. I think those who come to Amy's Place are pretty much of like mind on this and many issues. :-)
Anyway, I don't see abortion as a touchy or even debatable issue, but I guess that is because I am 100% convinced that to abort an unborn infant is murder, pure and simple. And I cannot believe that those on the OTHER side of this issue can be equally convinced that it is not.

Thanks, Billie. It is an awful photo of me, but I think I have gotten to the stage in my life where I don't much care. ;-) LOL.
It is a beautiful morning here. 72 degrees and, for the first time since the fires started, we don't have that awful brownish haze hanging over us. It's really bad when you can 'see' the air....not good at all. We still have fires burning all over CA, but the winds must have shifted some.
MEG, have you heard that there is now a wildfire burning near Goleta and moving toward Santa Barbara? My heart goes out to the firefighters. They are completely overwhelmed with over a thousand fires burning. They can only deal with the ones that are threatening homes, the others are just being left to burn themselves out.

I read some of the threads last night. Too sad what these children are forced to endure.
These creeps should never be allowed to return to commit these crimes again. Death penalty for the murders; confinement on an uninhabited island after sterilization for these other animals that molest children.

When Fish Hawk posted that poem, I saved it. I don’t even know why except that the message was so powerful. Some time later, when I saw that graphic, my first thought was of Fish Hawk’s poem. I had to save the graphic.
I probably waited at least a week before sending you the graphic and the poem. I debated on whether to post it or not. It is not my usual type Welcome.
Thank you,Lori, for adding the border and thank you Fish Hawk for writing and sharing that powerful message dealing with abortion.
