Just wondering ... Did Obama ever meet one of the D.C. Snipers?

Just a casual observation for discussion. Sort of was on the back of my mind - it crossed my mind as I was paging through Corsi's new book "The Obama Nation" (which Barnes & Noble book store hid the one copy in the back of the store). Corsi makes reference to the Million Man March. I did not find any reference to the D.C. snipers while paging through it.

But I was sort of thinking back to those days.

Remember the Washington, “D.C. snipers”, and the horrific days of terror that left 10 people dead at the hands of James Allen Muhammad and Lee Malvo?

Muhammad was a member of the Nation of Islam. Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam and the Million Man March, 1995, remember that?

The leftist media is now trying to rewrite history, that James Allen Muhmmad wan’t involved in the Nation of Islam, that there was only a casual relationship with the Afro-centrists cult for “only a two year period”. In fact, that is a lie, he converted to Islam many years prior, was extensively involved, and the entire details of this were provided by his first wife, Carol Williams, his membership which started at the time of the divorce – which was over a 17 years prior to the sniper incidents. And Leo Dudley who was a friend of James Allen Muhammand, and who lived a block from Muhammad in south Tacoma and was interviewed by the media, said his family was a “strong Muslim family” and that James Allen provided security for the Million Man March. Now, it is our understanding that Obama also attended the Million Man March.

Let’s go back to some of the things the snipers were saying and doing after they were captured:

- go back to the October 19, 2007 article by Kathleen McKinley, “CNN Ignores Radical Islam in Story of D.C. Snipers”, which reveals the jailhouse drawings of Malvo, one sketch of Osama bin Laden exalted as the “Servant of Allah”. A self-portrait of Malvo and Muhammand captioned “We will kill them all. Jihad! Allah Akbar!”. In the shades of Obama’s preacher Jeremiah Wright, a sketch of the burning Twin Towers captioned “America did this. You were warned.” A poem alongside an American flag and Star of David in cross-hairs of a rifle which reads “Our minarets are our bayonets, our mosques are our barracks, our believers are our soldiers.” On it on it goes. While Muhammad and Malvo were in the county jail awaiting trial, their lawyers insisted they be fed Islamic “Halal” meals. They requested copies of the Quran.

I have a question.

Was Jeremiah Wright ever a member of the Nation of Islam, prior to his “Christian Church”?

I have a question.

Obama attended the Million Man March. Let me ask a question. Would Obama have attracted the attention of Nation of Islam leadership?

Let me ask a question.

Would have Obama spoken with the security involved in the Million Man March, would he have attracted the attention of the Nation of Islam security and leadership?

Let me ask a question.

Did Obama personally speak with James Allen Muhammad?

Let me ask a question.

At the time of the D.C. Sniper stories, just at the time of their capture, I saw on television some guy, who almost looked homeless, who came out of a tin-shed which appeared to be his house, interviewed, who said “dey would go to that crazy church”.

Which crazy church?

Let me ask a question.

Did Obama personally met D.C. sniper James Allen Muhammad at the Million Man March, and did James Allen Muhammand, Black Muslim, ever, even once, attend a church session of one Jeremiah Wright?

Let me ask a question.

How small is the world?

Dude...chill out. People can make coffee without caffeine now, you know.

Ridiculous speculation.

No, I disagree. It is something to ask. There is evidence that James Allen Muhammand attended the Million Man March, that he was involved at some level in security at the March. James Allen later was one of the D.C. snipers, along with Malvo. Both Obama and Allen appear to be in the same location – the Million Man March. Obama would have likely attracted the attention of the Nation of Islam security and senior members.

No, when the Jeremiah Wright question first came up, some folks were asked to chill out as well.

No, I’m not going to chill out anything. I am going to ask a couple of questions.

The world is small.

This is complete, scurrilous speculation with absolutely no facts in evidence anywhere, nor any reason at all to speculate about it in the first place ... This is not what we do on Free Republic. It should be removed — something I seldom ask for.

If it costs Obama $100 to prove he never met the sniper, it’
s worth pursuing.

As a journalist (retired), I respectfully disagree. Mr. Baldwin respectfully asks the questions. He does not make foolish speculations. He simply states facts known to all and asks if they are connected.

When two people were at the same event, it is reasonable to ask if they met.

These are not far-out questions. Remember the reporter who asked Betty Ford the questions “Do you think your kids may have used drugs?” .... The reporter was condemned by everyone... until Mrs. Ford answered, “Yes.”

What evidence? Where can it be seen?

Start with that then try to find something that links obama to the snipers besides your idle speculation.

From CNN, December 30, 2002:

"His conversion from a Baptist to a Muslim occurred around this time, but Muhammad only legally changed his name from Williams last year. He is a member of the Nation of Islam."

Felix Strozier, who ran a martial arts school with Muhammad in Tacoma several years ago, said Muhammad "seemed to be a pretty nice person."

At first, Strozier said their relationship was fine, but he said they had a falling out after Muhammad borrowed $500 from the school and never repaid the debt. The school closed in 1998.

"I know he was manipulative," Strozier said. "He would do anything to get his way."

He also said Muhammad was a strong believer in Islam who attended the 1995 Million Man March in Washington, an event organized by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan."

Since we are asking Obama questions here, I’d like to know when he registered with the SSS?

Rev Wright was a muslim: http://www.pickensdemocrats.org/info/TheAgitator_070319.htm (it’s a New Republic article from 2007) “But Wright was a former Muslim and black nationalist who had studied at Howard and Chicago, and Trinity’s guiding principles—what the church calls the “Black Value System”—included a “Disavowal of the Pursuit of Middleclassness.’”

The crosscurrents appealed to Obama. He came to believe that the church could not only compensate for the limitations of Alinsky-style organizing but could help answer the nagging identity problem he had come to Chicago to solve. “It was a powerful program, this cultural community,” he wrote, “one more pliant than simple nationalism, more sustaining than my own brand of organizing.”

As a result, over the years, Wright became not only Obama’s pastor, but his mentor.”

Well, there were a million men there, so the odds are against it.

Reminds me of the Brits I met in Jamaica who wanted to know if I knew their friends who also lived in Colorado.

Good grief ... you actually sat around and wondered about this? Do you really think that there is someone here at FreeRepublic who attended the rally and saw the two of them sharing a smoke behind the porta-potty or something?

Maybe the sniper guy didn't buy his kids birthday presents either. But that's a whole 'nuther thread. Sheesh.

My question concerned the assertion that there is evidence that the DC sniper was a part of the million man march security organization. The fact that he was at the march is meaningless.

A couple of my friends went and they are two of the most non-involved guys I know. For black men at that time it was like a Woodstock.

Being part of the FOI security detail is different. It is the evidence of that that may have some meaning. I say 'may' because that does nothing to link obama to the shooter, does it.
