Actually, I’m not asking about the odds, I’m asking if anyone has calculated the rate at which the mass of the surroundings woul dbe incorporated if indeed a blackhole is formed that does not evaporate immediately in Hawking radiation.

They used that song on an end of the world (ok, end of the US) sort of movie with Anthony Edwards in it years ago. Just a bit of goofy trivia stuck in my head (I have enough goofy trivia to fill a black hole, I think).

LOL. I think it was used in ID 4, too, IIRC.

This reminds me, I know my insurance policies don't cover acts of God. I'll have to check to see if they have a mad physicist clause as well...

Just make sure you have the singularity rider on your policy. Of course, I think it may be difficult to cash the check afterwards....
