I am now owned by 2 kittens..They are permanent residents now..
I have had my daughter and 9 visiting kitties here for 3 weeks..SIL had so much traveling to do that he came and spent the night on the way to another city this week before coming to move them all back home yesterday ..They were without power for two of the weeks they were here..Their Ike damage proved to be a opportunity for a rare long visit.
Oh yes!! She is very strong willed.
In the summer, I took her to see Will E and we saw the trailer for the Chichuahua movie. She asks at least once a week when we can go see it.
Marissa has had a couple of disagreements with a kid or two at school regarding McCain vs Obama. I think I will buy her a Palin T-Shirt.
I want her to stand by her principles but I’m not sure about the Palin shirt. Right now, she is into Hanna Montana. Wonder if they have any Piper shirts?

Just got back from a long walk with my dog. It’s gorgeous out. The autumn has the nicest weather. Tomorrow we will try to get to the beach.
Missy had a day to rest, glad she wasn’t sick. :) We have to get our flu shots next week.

Kitty, we are the only locale... southern California... that is home to non-migratory hummingbirds. Ours, the Anna’s hummingbird, is here all year long. What a blessing. I’m glad you got to see your migrating ones:-).
I haven’t caught up with you, but think I saw in another of your posts that you now do a lot of travelling during the week and the business is still afloat. God bless you and your family as you make these adjustments.

I am glad I kept the kittens, too..I have been busy kitten proofing..and moving back to my room...
I spend more time with the cats than I do getting needed things done..LOL

Pomegranate Key Lime Vodka Cocktail
Ingredients:
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 cup club soda
1 cup unsweetened pomegranate juice
1/2 cup vodka
tablespoons fresh Key lime juice (about 3 limes)
Crushed ice
Key lime slices (optional)
Preparation:
Combine sugar and 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 2 minutes or just until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat; cool.
Combine sugar syrup, club soda, pomegranate juice, vodka, and lime juice. Place crushed ice in a martini shaker; add about 3/4 cup pomegranate mixture. Cover and shake. Strain into a glass. Garnish with lime slice, if desired. Repeat procedure with remaining pomegranate mixture.
Meg, I had no idea you had THAT many kittens staying with you. That had to be non-stop zaniness:o). Fun for a while, but then.....

If you have never done them prior, you can buy them at office max for a pkg of 25 for about 25 dollars. Cannot use Laser color printer.. must use ink jet
Marissa never gets a flu shot but doc said hubby and I should get ours early November. The flu usually hits California in December, January and February. Also said if we wait that it would still be effective in the spring.
We are planning to go the first week of November.
