Dropping Leaflets, is it legal?

Posted on 10/10/2008 9:15:54 AM PDT by Bugs66

I was curious... since the MSM is solidly in the tank for Obama and actively campaigning for him, I was trying to think of alternate ways to get the McCain-Palin message out. Does anyone know of the legalities of dropping leaflets at night over cities? One should use biodegradable, rapid decay paper of course so the littering factor would be small.

I am a pilot and could easily drop leaflets at night. It would be great to have a movement of pilots across many cities (especially battleground states) drop leaflets.

Signs and leaflets do influence many, especially if the sign is on businesses or people property.

Some might vote just because they hear, or perceive the other as popular.

Some are influenced just by speaking to them, and are thrilled to have someone talk to them about it at the door.

I have been shocked at how many people really are hungry for someone to stop and tell them, even as late as the day before the election so many have not even thought of who to vote for. I know I have personally enfluence many people to vote my way the day before the election.

And most people are very nice, and I meet the nicest people.

"There are other problems, such as getting a printer to produce thousands of these leaflets. Might be a brick wall."

I think I can help! Would a few thousand bricks with "Vote Democrat" Embossed on the side help?

The feds would investigate for “bio-terrorism.”

I am sorry, I did not read your post right. I think you might have to check the laws in your state. Good idea though.

If you have a plane, maybe a neon sign flying overhead at a local event?

Looks like a fun idea, but charges of littering (associated cleanup costs) and reckless endangerment (risk to moving traffic in limited visibility) comes to mind.

Also, we drop leaflets in war zones, imagine how the libs would respond (spun as attempt to incite riots). LOL

I am not sure how, but there must be a hate crime and racist element to this. ;>)

You would probably get sued for paper cuts and alleged infections from the cuts. Some folks would head to hospital ER’s and for stress related injuries.

Having said all of that, if you instead dropped knives and forks over DC, I’d buy you a beer. Heck, flood DC and Wall Street with raw sewage and I’ll buy you a steak at a restaurant of your choice, after you you get out.

My advise: talk to about a dozen lawyers first and hide all of your assets.

Ok Smartie, what is your idea? And try to think outside the box. The MSM is owned by Obama. The Internet is over saturated. There has to be alternate methods.
