Why is Obama running a 30 minute special and McCain is not?

I think a 30 minute infomercial talk talk talk ... is crass
Hopefully a bunch of other people think the same thing

Think of 30 minutes of TV Obama as “The Vote-Shopping Home Network”.

I’d prefer to watch and buy Sham Wows, New York & Company Denim, and genuine diamante jewelry

'xactly

McCain wouldn't take the help of a 527, even if offered.

I suggest record it, and save for future use?

Thank God for DVR!!!!!!!!!! He may dominate all of the stations but I’ve got lots of stuff recorded that I can watch. Don’t want to see a second of his crap.

“Bull, the law just won’t let McCain accept big money. His law.”

Good point, but couldn’t the influential conservative person donate to the Republican party? Or buy the TV spot himself/themselves?

I’m just frustrated that the Republican/conservative party is so ineffective.

I wonder if Obama gets to keep the excess money he does not spend.

If Obama loses, he will be dead inside of a year. He knows way too much and owes FAR too much to unknown parties. (Observation)

This will backfire just like his campaigning in Germany. I knew several die-hard Obama voters who reconsidered once he pulled that stunt. Showing his ego with this 30-minute “Let me interrupt normal programming not to mention the World Series” can backfire in a major way. He actually believes if he can just talk to each of us that we will see his Marxist/Socialist ways as good and vote for him.

Oh, I don’t know. Maybe 0bama’s a grandstanding a$$hat, and McCain is not? Possibly?

A movie quote comes to mind regarding this:

“Never over-extend your thrust. You’re vulnerable, and... off-balance.”

Fox had an interesting story on this morning. Obama’s campaign does not have AVS turned on for it’s credit card processing on donations (AVCS = Address Verification Service). So, in reality, there is no name or address verification tied to his donations, and a ton of money is pouring in from Europe and elsewhere. Basically, the world is buying the US presidency to conform it to thier will.

Truthfully, why waste the money? I know some women that change the channel when a political commercial comes on. They’re tired of it. This election cycle started way too soon and people have burned out. The only people that may watch this are the curious and some undecideds.

It is all about the founding fathers- specifically these founding fathers.

Also, we don't know what McCain has planned in response. Let Obama play this hand now, that gives McCain 4 days to counter. Obama would have been better served to pull this off on Monday night when there is no chance to respond.

It also looks (to me at least) like he is trying to buy the election.

Money can be useful to a point, but there comes a time when it will simply appear that he is buying his way into office. Has this already happened? We shall see on Nov 4th.

Uh.. did you see the Movie "W", what about the Anti-war pic of the week. You can show it on TV.. but that schedule thing allows us to avoid the heck out of it.

BO, not just something that stinks in the morning.

Relax.

Obama will be preaching to his choir of athiests, abortion enthusiasts, condom-throwers, gold-chained union thugs, welfare grandmothers, Boy Scout-hating lesbians, hand-wringing college professors, and the rest of the parasites, losers, and goofballs who comprise the Democrat party “base”.

Normal, traditional American families have at least 150 other cable and dish channels to choose from.

Obama has Soros money to burn. McCain will wisely spend his money on 30-second ads that are more in line with the attention span of today’s mindless chattering class.

FRegards,
LH

Can’t you just hear Obama saying

LOL!

Pray for rain in Philly tonight:........... Fox persuaded Major League Baseball to delay by about 15 minutes the start time of tonight's game so the network could air the Obama ad at 8 p.m. in the Eastern and Central time zones. In California, the campaign commercial will follow the game. http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-fi-abc29-2008oct29,0,7323859.story

Maybe we can run a Pro Obama add using that guy who sells the sponge cloths on TV prior to the real one. That should cause enough people to kick in their TV screens.

Seriously, do you think people are going to sit through a 30 min. Obama ad? Maybe that worked back in ‘88... actually it didn’t b/c Dukakis still lost, but I digress... do you think that is going to work in an era of Wiis, TiVos, 1000 cable channels & Internets? I doubt it.

Sure, the Obama die-hards will tune in so they can pee down their leg. But the Independents will not. If they were politically attuned they’d know who they were voting for already. No, they might watch a couple min out of curiousity, but I guarantee it will soon become background noise or turned off completely.

I also don’t think such an ad would help McCain. What helps McCain is all the info now coming out: the “spread the wealth,” the “economic justice,” Joe Biden saying $150K, not $250K, is the new rich. When you talk with undecideds about these things it just peels off Obama’s veener and seeds doubt that Obama can’t be trusted, and would be dangerous to America’s vitality. Then get those people to the polls. That is what gives McCain a real advantage, not a phony baloney scripted ad.
