When I sat in my car at the start of the automatic car wash, I didnt know that my left front tire was not properly lined up with the track. The car wash started but my car wasnt moving, so I accelerated. That caused my tire to jump the track.
Now I was stuckI couldnt move forward or backward. The car wash continued through its cycle without my car. Meanwhile, cars began lining up and waiting for me. I was glad when two workers at the station helped me get my car back on the track.
Sometimes in our Christian lives we get off track too. King David did in a big way. He committed adultery with Bathsheba and later ordered that her husband be put in the forefront of the hottest battle and left there to be killed (2 Sam. 11:3-4,15-17). Davids actions were way out of line with how God wanted him to behave as His chosen king.
David needed help to get back on track. The Bible says that the Lord sent Nathan to David (12:1). He confronted him about stealing another mans wife, and David wisely repented (v.13). Nathan took a risk to help David get right with God, even though his sin still had dire consequences.
Does someone you know need your help to get back on track?
Good Morning (((Meg)))
Thanks!
I love that picture of First Lady Laura! :)
Good Morning The Mayor :)
Thank you!
Is it cold enough for you? Did you get snow yesterday?
This one is so difficult..to do and to take! Thank you, Mayor, for our Daily Bread.
I do, too! (((GeeBee)))
24 right now and yes about 6 inches of fluffy white stuff.
Whoa, 6 inches already. My daughter wishes to have snow. I can wait though. ;) Stay warm! :)
I went back to UTube and played all of Paul Potts songs..The one showing the judges abd audience reactions that first time is a treasure..There were some other songs I really enjoyed...
Can’t get enough of these photos. I’ve been viewing, A Day in the Life of President Bush, a lot lately. Sure going to miss them!!
I almost posted the same to you! I am downloading some, too.
Yes, we got some lake effect from Lake Ontario. Doesn’t happen that often, the wind has to be the right way. It is really light and fluffy and you could blow it away with a leaf blower.
Down in ski country there is 2 feet already and they open this weekend. So much for global warming eh?
He has an amazing voice and we watched a couple clips. I love the reaction from the woman on the panel, she tears up quickly and is truly touched, about our reaction.
Yeah, global warming, LOL ;)
The ski resorts must be pleased.
We all seem to tear up!
GMTA ;)
Of Course!
I just checked my stash..I saved so many on my desktop..I have many reminders of happier days at a click... for the coming years...
Good to see you, GeeBee! Have a wonderful weekend!
I hope that is a little tooth fairy, Meg, as I have that dental appointment this morning. Ouch! I imagine he will remove the tooth today. Not a great Friday~~~LOL~~
Thank you for the Daily Bread today, Mr. Mayor. Its 24 here also and the ground was white this morning but not 6 inches. I took a couple of pictures as it was pretty but the cold is pretty awful! Was 14 a couple of days ago though.
