Why hasn't McCain conceded? (VANITY)

Posted on 11/04/2008 7:20:25 PM PST by mike182d

With California, Oregon and Washington state, Obama crosses the 270 threshold - meaning there's no way he can win at this point.

Is there something they know that we don't?

he hasn’t been beaten badly enough yet. He will concede soon once the beatings get to be too much.

yeah he is now hitting himself in the face for accepting public campaign financing. Lets face it, McLame was weak and not the brightest candidate on the block. He wasn’t campaigning in enough states. He completely gave Iowa for example to Obama. Bush won Iowa in the last election. His campaign advisors really did him in too. Lets regroup and prepare for 2012.

Because you don’t concede on exit poll results. You wait until the voting is actually over and the votes are counted. Get it?

Conceded? It’s only 10:15 PM ET. At least wait until all the states have had a chance to vote, for cryin’ out loud!

McCain may have contesting to do anyway. This was one rigged election.

Fox news radio has reported that pool reporters have been requested to assemble by McCain.

He is probably waiting till the polls close in California. They have a big Issue 8 they are voting on. If he concedes that might cause conservatives to not go out and vote. i.e., Jimmy Carter 1980

Now why would anyone in their right mind concede based on exit polling that has been shown widely inaccurate in the past?

Uhh, there’s still VOTING going on. If McCain jumps the gun, he could screw Republicans on the West Coast, like Tom McClintock, Prop 8, etc.

The news media seem to have convinced you that they actually decide who wins which state, in some instances before a single precinct has reported. Those electoral vote tallies are projections. Elections are a little more complicated than that.

I just hope that McCain, as a senator, goes against obama every chance he gets. He’s really a rino, but maybe he’s changed his tune just a little.

Amen to that. Time to make some changes in GOP HQ. Perhaps Newt should be chairman.
