Now is the time for all men and women of goodwill to commit to praying for the president elect. God is still in control. Maybe he has humbled us. Maybe he has decided that we are too proud, too selfish, too...whatever.
Yes, it's going to be hard, but this is a good test of our character. Will we respond with hatred, bitterness, and despair, or with the eternal hope that our God is in control?
We have a choice. If you don't think that God can use a man like Obama, then your God is much too small. Remember - God's timetable, not ours.
I hope to see prayers for Obama's safety. His children don't deserve to lose their father.

I’m sorry. I know I am supposed to pray for my enemies but I struggle with this all the time. God knows I do.
Here’s the deal. We are supposed to hate evil. I do think Obama is evil and not at all what he pretends to be.
All I can pray is that a miracle changes him (maybe like Saul/Paul) and he rejects all he has embraced throughout his life. I won’t be holding my breath though.
I think the foolish people of this country have bought into the Enemy’s trap. Like others have said, I will not claim him as my president.
While the Bible tells us to render unto Caesar, it does not tell us to become like him. I will spend much time teaching my grandchildren why this man, Barack Hussein Obama, is not to trusted or admired.
Look at the murder of 1 million babies a year through abortion in America.
We can pray for His mercy, that we don't get the punishments we deserve for making wrong choices (whether those be personal failings or errors in our choice of leadership).
Barack Obama claimed to be a Christian, although in a 2004 interview, he came off more as a secular humanist. He did not see Jesus to be the only way to salvation. He saw redemption in the different faiths of the world. He finds sin to be whatever goes against his value system. May he have a spiritual awakening as he sits in the leadership role of this great nation, established by men who sought to LIMIT the powers of government, and preserve the personal liberties of men.
I WANT Barack Obama to be spiritually awakened, and not look down on those who “cling to religion”. I want him to be humbled in the realization of something greater than himself or the institutions of man. There is no charity in forced taxation. For you to give to your fellow man in assistance should be a personal decision, one that you come to by free choice.
I pray that we DON'T experience a second “Carter” administration. I pray that Our Father shows us mercy. And if it leads some to be more humble and respectful (as we did in the aftermath of the 9-11), then there is a positive aspect to this election.

I will pray that no human ever attempts an attack on him. EVER. I will pray that he is protected, that the Secret Service will find out...micraculously, even...about any attempt on his life.
That now being said...
I pray for the judgement of Almighty God to fall on him. I pray for him to be stricken with heartache. stricken with depression, stricken with loss of his family, and finally stricken with a terminal disease in which he dies slowly and painfully.
And...I will pray that he finds Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior before he dies, and if not, then I know he will burn in the fires of an eternal Hell until the last tick of Eternity.
Amen. God allows good and bad leaders to rise to accomplish His purposes. Hopefully Obama will be a good leader, although all the evidence to date shows this is unlikely.
Prayers for Obama are right and I pray that God will continue to bless this country through His grace, even as we are deserving of His wrath because of our sins.
Unlike the nutball lefties who hate George W. Bush, I will not hate President Obama. I will vocally oppose any decision of his with which I disagree and I will vote for his opponent.
As for your prayers for his safety — yes, this is paramount. Somewhere out there are evil people who would wish to hurt him and bring terrible strife and shame to our country.
You are probably someone with wisdom, more than me, but I’m not certain that God wants me to pray for someone who supports abortion, partial birth abortion, and as I recall homosexual marriage. I’ll have to think about your suggestion, while my prayers go out for the safety of our troops, those Americans still in the womb and for the safety and security of America, while the new occupant of the White House remains a mystery. Meanwhile,I’ll say some Hail Mary’s for his soul.
I will be praying for the souls of all the American soldiers who gave themselves in all of the wars to win the FREEDOM and SELF-DETERMINATION that ignorant and bamboozled Americans just voted away.

I do fear that Barack will be tested in his first year as Bill Clinton and George W. Bush were. Bush pushed back. Clinton did not and suffered continued attacks. Bush did not. We did manage to thwart some through investigations.
The shame here is that if there is another attack, it'll be blamed on the policies of “Bush” and not a larger picture of antiAmericanism/Westernism that has persisted for ages.

Not everything that happens on this planet is God’s will. Many things here are the work of the devil, and the Scriptures make clear that until Christ comes again, this is still the place where the devil goes about his foul business.
Evil has done a great and powerful work tonight, just as he did during the time the Nazis ruled in Germany. We do not know why God permits such dreadful things to happen—surely we were not such a terrible place in 1942 that we deserved a world war? But now for some reason He has permitted this country to suffer a great calamity. Perhaps we are being chastised for permitting abortion to become the law of the land, for our sexual license, for our moral laxity. I don’t know. But I do know that millions of innocents, millions of good Christians and Jews, will suffer for sins they did not commit as a direct result of tonight’s work.
