The liberals, who don’t know where meat and potatoes come from, will try to sneak into my garden and I will shoot them. And then eat them. Maybe I’ll wash them down with a depression-era homebrew.

Obama’s awesomeness is so small. I chuckle every time I hear him at the microphone; I guess some can’t see it. What a tiny man in the face of such a great storm.

I heard him on Noory’s show. He had me going until he talked about Zero Point Energy.

Can you imagine reading those empty slogans and getting emotionally worked up over it?

It was really sad, a young man was asked on election day why he voted for Obama, and he struggled to remember the words around “change”. He had no clue other than to try to repeat the empty slogans, and even then, could not do that very well at all. It was pathetic.

Really? What has this oracle predicted in the past? Who’s going to win the game tonight?

SO, I am shunned as a newbie? I have always put God and my Country first, and I take my politics seriously. But, I have never been more diametrically opposed to a candidate as I have Obama, so I set out to seek the truth on the Internet. And, all of my posts substiante my stance. Please embrace new input. We are all in this together, right?

Many of us here put God first, and those of us who do need not worry.

I grew up in the church, got away during my 20s and 30s, started back about 15 years ago, and within the past 5 years have felt very compelled to get closer to God. I have been to church most every week, studied the scriptures, read and prayed daily, like never before in my life. Last year, turning 50 I made a pilgrimage to Rome and visited the Vatican about 6-7 times, although I am not Catholic. I have not understood why I felt so compelled, but I fill more religious, spiritual, and closer to God than ever before in my life. I hope and pray I am filled with the spirit, we may very well be facing unknown calamities.

You’re welcome. Others may scoff at this, but I am going to prepare myself the best I can spiritually as well as physically for what is coming in this country. If nothing else, the actually apprehension I have felt about the possible things to come has revealed to me I am not where I need to be on either plane.

I’ve watched contemporary “prophecy” for years on the web. This woman is not alone in receiving a word of famine. Some of them are saying that it will begin with a cloud over Iran. I take that to mean a mushroom cloud. These online things should be taken with a major grain of salt, though. Time will tell.

WOW. I love Kay Arthur’s Inductive Bible studies, and have watched her teaching tapes many times. She has been a sincere lover of God’s Word. She sounds like she was truly burdened with such a message.

I have been very afraid this whole summer and more so after the election. God has been working on me to lean on Him more. His tower is stronger than I. Praise to His name and thank you for your post.

I agree that one should be diligent with regards to prophetic words given. I do believe that many seasoned Christian leaders are sensing things in their spirits very similar to what Ms. Arthur spoke at this conference. Add that to secular opinions and warnings such as the one this thread refers to, and I believe we may be getting some confirmation that something is about to take place. In any case, be diligent. The old adage “prepare for the worst, but hope for the best” comes to mind.

Actually if this happens, cash in the mattress could approach the value of zero.

But the added support that the money provides the mattress will enable you to sleep better at night. (smile)

We are His people and we hear His voice.

I am not surprised.

No one can take us out of His hand. His will be done.

Okay, the yeses and the nos of his argument.

To start with, blow off the notion that there are going to be food shortages. Food production is huge, and could be cut 75% without any American doing without. However, we feed much of the world, and they could be in deep trouble.

An important point is that we have the food, so the government could screw the public by hoarding it. This was the mistake of Hoover, and why FDR was so popular. Hungry people utterly disregard economics and will support whoever feeds them, no matter how they feed them.

But that being said, the Democrats don’t have a clue about economics, and the Republicans are not much better. Both are still in the post WWII “easy credit” economic paradigm, that has finally failed. The means they plan to use to restore it will just make the problem worse. They need to move back to a stable economic system.

The bottom line is that “easy credit” is over. The iron rule returns that “You can only have credit if you don’t need it.” This applies to individuals, corporations, the US government and internationally.

The credit collapse will mean that not only is there NOT going to be any credit for the US government to deficit spend, but that their tax revenue based budget is going to contract by double digits. This is the revenge of the Laffer curve, because first of all, nobody has made a profit this year, but have had huge losses, and second, everybody who has money already wants to put it somewhere safe, where it can’t be taxed.

Obama wants to throw trillions of dollars here, there and elsewhere. But the US Treasury will just say “No money here!”

So he will order them to sell Treasury bonds, and they will try. But there are no more buyers. If no bonds are sold, no money goes to the US Treasury. So there will still be “No money here!”

And Obama will clench his little fists, and stomp his little feet, and there is absolutely nothing he can do to get more money to spend.

Finally, at this point, to avoid bankruptcy, the US government will have to close down much of what it does, so money can be taken from those departments to go to the critical ones.

The government will have no choice but to means test every benefit it offers. Unless you are really poor, you don’t get Social Security, or Medicare, or anything else free from the government at all.

Right now, for the first time, the US Post Office is about to lay off 40,000 employees. And every other government agency and department will have to do the same. The Democrats will try to gut the US military, and they will reduce it by the 25% that Barney Frank wants.

But that won’t last, because every violent lunatic on the planet will start shooting at Americans and American property.

The rest of the world will be chaotic. Europe will be awful, because it got rid of most of its armies. There will be lots of insurrections.

Obama will suffer like few US presidents have suffered before. He has been named Captain of the Titanic, two hours after it hit the iceberg. He has 40 minutes of Celine Dion’s singing left. And he is going to be blamed for the whole mess.
