Is it too early to call Favre trade "huge success" for Gangreen, failure for Cheeseheads?

Hey, some of you are downright hostile! I merely ask the question in observation of the outcome. I’m not giving Favre any more credit than he deserves.

My question was about the Packers and Jets organization, NOT Favre. And I didn’t say for certain one way or the other, I ask to contemplate ONLY. I welcome both Favre lovers and haters here.

CHILL OUT some of you (you know who you are!)

We won’t be able to say whether it was a good trade or bad trade till we see how Rogers turns out as a QB. Farve was not traded because they did not think Farve could QB anymore. They had a decision to make regarding who would be their QB of the future. If they had kept Farve around for a couple of more years then Rogers probably might have gone free agent to another team and then 3 years down the line the Packers would be without Farve and without Rogers.

So what if they defeated the Titans? The Titans were undefeated, but it's not like they were the best in the league. McCarthy was not an idiot for getting rid of that big baby Brat Favre. The way he handled his unretirement showed exactly why he had to go at Green Bay. Obviously, he's trying harder not to be a prima dona in NY. Maybe he even read some of the bad press he finally got, which must have been quite a shock to someone who's been luxuriating in a PRIVATE LOCKEROOM all these years. Nobody said Favre could no longer play the game.

Conservatives said "Buy American." The UAW took conservatives' money and used it to buy the presidency. No, thanks. Buy American-made Hondas and Toyotas.

Correct. You tune to the Red Zone channel, they give you on-screen stats and numbers until a team makes it into the red zone, and then they pipe the footage onto the Red Zone channel.

Yeah, everyone knows the Lions are a better team, win-loss record be damned.

Well, the Titans lost their perfect record today, but the Lions’ perfect record is intact.

I am still mad at the way that Jones dumped Tom Landry. I haven’t watched Pro ball since.

Wow,and I thought I was good at holding a grudge.

I’m not automatically sold on Rodgers.

Nor am I - the proof will be, as always, in the results. I am hoping for the best however...

it’s his social skills.

I hope you are wrong, but if a leader can't lead the whole team, there will be problems (espeically with the people responsible for making sure his block doesn't get knocked off...).

Take care.
