Good morning!

The markets ended on a positive note, and we made it thru a day - Friday - without an Obama press conference. ( I think I'm correct on this...)

Smart man, you. (no offense intended to all freepers who continue to live in the snow). :)

I grew up in snow in Kansas - no thank you - no more.

It’s very cool here this morning. In the 30’s, and I noticed there was a 5.1 eQuake in Ludlow CA overnight. Not sure where that is, but not near me. I think it’s out by Barstow.

My daughter is flying in the 24th from Michigan. Hope she doesn’t get caught in airport closures due to snow/ice.

Thanks for the fresh start and cyber b-fast today Lysie & Molly.

Where have you been, young lady? Getting well I trust.

Must run for now - I have an early morning appt with my DC, and am taking Beloved (Charlotte Rose) with me to show off. They saw her at her worst and have been begging to see her again.

I think we are in the same weather pattern as last year. We have snow in the forecast 5 of the next 7 days. It snowed last night and it’s snowing now. Roads are messy but we are heading up north to chop down our Christmas tree shortly; this is the only day we can do it.

The last time I was in sn**, was when I was in the Navy, at Great Lakes Naval Station, Illi. I was at school, getting ready for Operation Desert Storm. Saw a few flakes land on my hand and said to myself time to go back to San Diego. Enough of this cold stuff.

lol, my son had the opposite experience; my northern boy spent pre-mob in Mississippi and then lived in the desert for a year. The day after he came home it snowed and he sat outside, loving every minute.

p.s. Our nephew was in the Navy for 8 years..........did some time at Great Lakes.

Not that I would mind staying here in sunny Florida if the kids could be here, but hope it’s not snowing on Thursday when we’re due to go back, plus, hubby gets really cranky when it snows.

You are welcome, SCB!

Just got back from visiting my uncle's widow. Greg replaced a light switch for her.

ha! i am happy to report that we don't have one flake (snow that is, we got plenty of ‘flakes’ running around, if you get my drift).

The casinos are really taking a beating here, layoffs like mad, cutting back on overtime for the ones left, SIL is still working thank goodness, he runs the high stake tournaments. JT has his fourth birthday party today, actually 4 Thursday and his entire class at school (all 7 of them) are coming to his party here at the house, me? I am going to be reading in my 'shack in the back' cause the mothers are bringing them and I am 'shy'. It is great watching them grow up. I go back to New Orleans next week for a checkup. I did not know it took a long time for up and did not know that the tummy hurting keeps on and on after a major operation. It is heck getting old, something 'breaks down' in the ole body all the time, reckon those parts just wear out like an old car. I got to clean my shack today but that want take long. I am thinking about putting siding on it along with a tin roof, that is if this fool cat I am so 'blessed with' by GD does not tear it up, He broke my wall clock the other day trying to grab the second hand going round BUT, GD DID bless me with this gift. All have a good day and please, pray for our nation, we need all the prayers we can get. Toby

Be patient with your recovery, Toby. It doesn’t happen overnight. If I remember correctly, I was still noticing occasional improvement 5 years after my surgery. Just a little bit at a time.

Sounds like you have a Devil Cat on your hands.

Back with the tree. It's a beaut........not too tall, but FAT.....lots of room for ornaments.:)

It's cleared up here; the sun is actually shining. For now.

We had lunch at Luigi's on Highway 41....ever been there?

There was an accident on the Tower Drive bridge the other day. I thought of you 'cuz I know you use that bridge on your way to Door County and as I recall you're not a big fan of it, right?

Luigi's? Nope... haven't had the pleasure.

Where on 41?

Probably get our tree next week. Windy at the moment.

Youngest daughter came home from a slumber party and is now sleeping. Apparently the girls were up all night. Go figure.

Wife and eldest daughter are out shopping. My driveway's clear. Sounds like another system on its way in tomorrow night.

Heard they were looking for shovelers for Lambeau this morning. Maybe the Pack will win one.

It's north of Green Bay, about 20 miles. In Suamico to be exact.

No one ever sleeps at slumber parties.:)

Including the parents, usually.:)

Hey, there! Congratulations on the new spouse. I wish you many happy days. I don’t like snow either. It is too cold and too wet.
