Oh Polly, I am so sorry! We will pray and pray! I know 3 women who had breast cancer and had mastectomies (some chemo) and all 3 have lived quite a long time and are still living.

And of course, praying for your sister

Kitty, I have never heard of such 'restrictive rules'...my goodness, prisoners get better than that and don't even have to pay. Its unbelievable that anyone can have so much control over people when 'the people' are paying for their service. Terrible! Hope you can get something better soon.

A Prayer for me please. I am going to the hospital to get looked at. I don’t feel well and I don’t want anything to happen.

Oh, no....Cuz. I certainly will say a prayer for you! I am glad you are going to the hospital to get tested. So many things caught early are no problem at all now. I know it is easier said than done, but try not to worry until you find out if there is actually something to worry about.

Cuzzin hugs from me to you!!

Thank you. A little scare with my blood pressure.
I am home now and all is well. It was 195/99 just a little stress in my life right now. The economy is so bad here there has been no work. Praying things bet better on that front soon.

I will be having a stress test this coming week.

Thank you all so much, my heart is filled with such joy.

A Breach In The Wall
The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father. —1 John 2:16

The 4,000-mile-long Great Wall of China was built to keep out invaders from the north. The first wall was constructed by Shi Huangdi, the first emperor of China, who lived between 259 and 210 bc. But in ad 1644 the Manchus broke through the Great Wall and overran China. They did this by bribing a general of the Ming dynasty to open the gates.

During the reconstruction of ancient Jerusalem, Nehemiah understood the acute danger posed by those who opposed the rebuilding of the city’s ruined walls. So he commanded constant vigilance. Half of the workers were to stand watch while half rebuilt the walls (Neh. 4:13-18).

As Christians, we must be vigilant that nothing breaches our spiritual defenses. Even the most mature believer can never afford to let down his guard.

The apostle John warns us of enemies from three quarters. He identifies them as “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life” (1 John 2:16). These enemies lure us away from God and His Word and leave a gap for the enemy to sneak in.

Let’s be alert to what entices us today. A lapse opens the door to sin, which in turn may develop into a habit that overwhelms us. Don’t permit a breach in the wall.

It may not be some heinous deed
That chills our hearts and chokes the seed;
It’s often just a trifling toy
That grabs our eye and steals our joy. —Gustafson

The world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. —1 John 2:17

Meg: It would take more than coffee for me. Maybe something like Hadicol would work.

jaycee: I probably should have stated that as:

Well, actually I don't have that much energy either but it's easy to sit at a keyboard and let my gazelle mouth write checks that my tortoise behind can't cash.

When you type things they don't come out the same as when you say them. Know what I mean?
