He just made a grand announcement in London that he was going on tour for the very last time...sort of like Cher. And he really means it this time. Geraldo was on with the Friends and said he is being brainwashed by his handlers.

Well, then I think he has to appear on Idol. If he is going to have any hope of rehabilitating his career for this 'tour' and have some big ticket sales, then he needs to get out there and BE with the people. He can't stay in his ivory tower. I'm guessing he needs money really bad and knows that at 50+ he needs to do something fast. I don't know who his handlers are, but, they haven't done him any favors in the past. Then again,. he has brought on so many problems all by his lonesome.

I second everything Netizen said. Plus all your short friends/family ask you for stuff on high shelves. A lady in the bookstore asked me to get something off a high shelf for her recently. LOL

One good thing about being tall is you can gain 15 pounds and no one really notices. The bad thing is that you have to lose about 30 before anyone notices that, too.

I’ve always wished I was little and petite, too. It sounds silly, but it’s only in about the last few years that I’ve stopped hating being tall. Dumb, I know. It’s not like hating it was going to change it. LOLOL

I was going to say the same thing- I bet he’s going to appear.

It’s sad he’s so psycho. The early Jackson 5 stuff is classic.

I agree. I liked him much better when he was still a black man.

Anybody know if he has ever undergone any type of counseling?

Little and petite has it’s drawbacks too...like RK said, if you gain a few pounds, it’s noticeable...and you can’t reach anything on the upper shelves (and why do stores always put their smallest sizes on top and the large sizes on the bottom? I’ve never figured that out but many stores have lost sales from me because I can’t reach the clothes in my size and there’s no one around to help me get them!) You also have to have the seat of your car almost up to the dash in order to reach the pedals and see over the dash...nothing fits right, I have to buy my glasses in the youth section (my current pair is actually a Hannah Montana frame! Yuck!) But there are worse things to be afflicted with than being vertically challenged so I just try to laugh about the inconveniences!

Danny Gokey & Robert Downey, Jr. ~ Separated @ Birth!?!?

Am I the only one here who noticed this? I put their faces together for comparison. Striking similarity, IMO! Could be twin bros!

LOL! My 73 year old husband got a haircut 2 weeks ago and the girl gave him this haircut (previous picture), without asking. He was livid when he got a good look at himself. I like it and I hope he goes to the same barber again ..... but he won’t.

http://mjsbigblog.com/wild-card-wrap-up-plus-producers-promise-more-twists-in-the-top-13-and-a-double-elimination-next-week.htm

ETA: The LA Times is reporting that Ryan Seacrest will explain how the double elimination will work on his show next week. But, Paula Abdul, on the John Jay and Rich radio show
Friday (listen below), said there will be a double elimination this week. But, what does she know? Plus, Paula said the judges agreed on Matt Giraud and Anoop Desai, but disagreed on one of the girls. Likely, Jasmine Murray–Kara DioGuardi said here they agreed on Megan Corkrey, Matt and Anoop. Simon told Jesse Langseth when he eliminated her that she “almost made it in” so the disagreement was likely over Jasmine vs Jesse. How could that even be a contest? Plus, Paula wanted Felicia Barton for the wildcard, but Simon didn’t.

From Dial Idol

Hey all - so I spend so much time working on DialIdol during the year I don’t often have my pulse on everything going on outside of DialIdol. That’s usually where you all keep me up-to-date and I appreciate it!

One thing I noticed this weekend while I was testing and I am wondering if anyone had heard anything about - phone numbers!

We all know the phone numbers to vote : 1-866-436-5701 through 5712.

Usually if you call these numbers outside a voting window they are busy and that is the case today.

However... This year there are 13 contestants. It appears that American Idol does not own 1-866-436-5713 (or 1-866-436-5700 for that matter). I’d advise you not to call either number as the content is not rated G.

This raises the question - what the heck are they going to do for the 13th contestant? Has anything heard anything? New numbers? New voting system entirely? A lone non-contiguous number? Are they frantically trying to buy the number? Am I just dialing wrong?

Hmmm...

Jim

Oh I totally agree!! Shops ALWAYS put the tall sizes on the bottom! Just this week I was at Old Navy and all the "longs" are on the bottom shelves. Now that so many places have online shops, they don't stock tall or long sizes in the regular store either (I suspect it's the same for petites, too). I was in The Gap looking through every single pair of pants for my size in long. One of the sales girls finally told me that they didn't carry "specialty sizes" in that store anymore. They are online only. It was a smaller Gap, so maybe it's different at other ones.

Don't you just love that? It makes no sense to carry the clothes for the hard to fit (petite/talls), online, where they CANNOT try them on.

Michael Jackson’s Songs Waiting For Posthumous Release

http://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/2009/03/01/michael_jackson_s_songs_waiting_for_post

Michael Jackson has recorded more than 100 songs in secret - but is refusing to release the tracks until after his death, according to a biographer.

The Thriller singer has amassed a stack of tunes but only wants them to be heard by his children - Prince, 11, Paris Katherine, 10, and five-year-old Prince Michael II - after he dies, according to Ian Halperin, author of forthcoming book Unmasked, The Michael Jackson Story.

Halperin says, “I was astonished by the number of songs which have been held back. I was told that he will not let them come out now but wants to leave them for his kids, a very personal legacy to them.”

You know what? I just remembered that Jackson has another option. He is in London and can use a tape or satellite, to appear on the show. To me, this is a no show or equal to a softball interview.

I get eye migraines. They don’t hurt and only last for about 15-20 minutes, but I can hardly see and it’s very freaky.

You're only the only other person I know who gets these besides myself.

There called Ocular Headaches. The last one I has I saw a rainbow sort of like in the edge of a mirror. It was F-r-e-a-k-y!
