Repeatedly, FR moderators have moved TOP postings related to current NEWS and calls for conservative ACTIVISM from the News and Activism section, over to "blogger's and personal" which has no traffic by comparison.
I fully understand Jim Robinson's original purpose in launching FR, to provide a community in which conservatives could get TRUTH not available in the MSM, information not available in the MSM and access to fellow conservatives so that we could work together towards a conservative agenda.
Yet time after time, FR moderators bury this information over in "blogger's and personal" and kill story after story, vital to the conservative movement.
Why?
Without a change in this policy, I am through posting to FR. The moderators on FR have less sense than the moderators on DU, where they at least work to bury the opposition, instead of themselves.
What gives? Anyone understand this self-defeating policy?
Agreed. But hits mean nothing. I post new threads often. And - to me - replies are the key to determining if a post was good enough.
As I said - JB Williams is a good man. But the fact he is in the CFP makes no difference. He could have been sourced to the NY Times, the AP, the Washington Post or anywhere else you can think of.
But today's column was a yawner. Still hardly any replies in either of the two afore-mentioned threads.
So don't blame the mods. They could have bumped this snooze-fest to Breaking News for you. Still wouldn't have helped.
You're getting a real butt-beating today on Free Republic. Take it. Learn from it. It's happened to me. Hell, its happened to most any and all FReepers with any experience.
Tomorrow will be another day. And you'll be back (with another JB Williams column) and we will all live to FReep another day.

This is a HUGE forum. There are thousands of readers and posters. Sometimes, we post a thread that's just not interesting. Nobody wants to read it, so it doesn't get read. I've had this experience myself.
I have NO idea who this JB Williams guy is, or what the Canada Press is, and I'm familiar with a LOT of conservative news sources.
Ya gotta advertise. Put a bio of JB Williams on your FR home page. Put a description of Canada Press on your home page, and a link. Pump them up. Let us know why we should be reading them.

No, I didn’t take it personal at all. As I have stated on this thread, there is a pattern of moving conservative news from conservative news sites (not the MSM) to bloggers, where there is much less traffic. If the objective is to spread conservative news, views and values, why would they be moved where there is much less traffic?
It was a simple question, for which no one has offered a direct answer in over a hundred comments...
Maybe you ought to stop it with the rude posts, eh?

The above is not news either, it is opinion. Your difficulty here appears to be your opinion that opinions are news (with a strong dose of "I know what's best" thrown in for good measure).
Hey 1rudeboy...they have moved some of the birth certificate postings...out of breaking news. They had some kind of reason, but I don’t remember what it was...senior moment.

Why move conservative news and acts of activism where it gets much less traffic, if the objective is to spread conservative news, views and opportunities to act?
