I think Gabz explained it, I respectfully disagree on the grounds that Obama is quickly bringing the office of the President down to a celebrity level and I fear we will never return the WH to the level of respect it should demand... Clinton was bad, but Obama out the gate is worse with his comments about Rush, Sean, and now Jessica Simpson.

...and now I’ll brace myself for the rave reviews from the media.
The coat and dress are OK with me, but the first thing I saw, in the picture, was the way she was standing. Her stance and walk really needs some help. Isn’t there some kind person near her who could step in and help her—— since she doesn’t seem to notice it herself? And while they are at it, help out the oldest daughter. She is at an awkward age, I know, but when she was walking, on swear in day, she looked clunky. Not the sort of pleasing picture to look back in years to come.

I totally agree with you that he is demeaning the office of the President, but I still think his remark re: Siumpson and the mag cover was totally innocuous.
I believe she is bow-legged and so her legs aren’t going to “go together” the way most people’s will - but she can minimize it. She does need some lessons in what we used to call deportment.
For what it is worth, Caroline kennedy also walks like a ruptured moose........perhaps it is some New Liberal gait that we Conservatives arent privy to?

No, that’s every day at the Dept of Ed., except usually it’s not so exciting, and the bags of chips and Cokes are open on the desk and the heads are down for a nap...I am NOT kidding!
You need to start a ping list. This is hysterical. She does need some help. Why they even think she can be compared with Jackie O is beyond me. I have nothing against this lady but she is definitely NO fashionista. Maybe she’ll take some advice from those who are good at this thing.
Did you see the gown at the Inaugural? It was awful. She does not wear clothes that flatter her figure. Of course, she is bowlegged which is going to be a little tricky.
She reminds me of Jackie O., except for being completely different. Perhaps someday she’ll learn about style.

While I’m not enthralled about the color combinations, I have to say she has chosen the right style of shoe for feet her size.
I should know, I wore that exact same style for many, many years for exactly the same reason, they minimized the size of my feet. I had them in at least 10 different colors at the height of my shoe collection years!
